Description: A delightful old, unspoilt Cornish village pub full of character and very welcoming. Dog friendly, large beer garden across the road for those lovely sunny days. In the winter after a lovely walk on the beach, come and relax in front of our roaring fires, we serve quality Ale from St Austell Brewery. We also serve a selection of hot drinks. Food is served every day. Here at The Ship,' You don't have to be local to be treated like a local you just have to come and see us'We look forward to welcoming you. From all the crewe.

Quaint Cornish pub by the sea with lots of character. Always clean and fresh. The staff are friendly and helpful. The meals are good quality reasonably priced with fair sized portions. An ideal place to visit for a pleasant evening.

“Nice pub”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

With the rain lashing down we were looking for a bolt hole and something to eat. The ship did us just fine.
Really friendly staff, basic menu well executed, good fire in the grate; just what we were looking for.
Many thanks

“Great”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

I visited the ship inn pentewan for an evening meal, I had the catch of the day and my partner had the chicken New Yorker, they were both absolutely superb. The service was great, food was served quickly and with a smile. We were warmly welcomed into the pub by a charming young barman, who we both decided was a credit to the pub. We'll be coming back!

“Great location, poor food”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

We went here one night while staying in the village. It's the only pub/restaurant in the village (the second restaurant has closed).

My fish pie was dry with glutinous mashed potato and a heavy cheese topping that swamped any other flavour. Very poor value for £10.95. My friends "Daily Special" - which you would expect to be fresh and good - was a dry chicken pie with undercooked pastry. We both agreed it was not worth visiting again.
