We stayed here for three nights and were impressed by the place as it was spotless. The hostel appeared to be divided into two buildings but we were in the one facing the sea. On the same road as the hostel there is The Kopasker Earthquake Centre which unfortunately for us opens only in Summer. Hostel had four bedrooms two of which were four bedded and the other two being two bedded, two bathrooms one consisting of shower and toilet whilst the other had shower, bath and toilet. The lounge/kitchen area was very spacious airy with a large window overlooking the open sea with a lighthouse in the distance. It had television, DVD, large selection of books in Icelandic, microwave, cooker, fridge and freezer and a really well equipped kitchen in terms of crockery and utensils. Adjoining the kitchen is a small laundry room with a vacuum cleaner, washing machine and outside washing line if required. All towels and linen were provided by owner. Pricewise we paid 12000 ISK (Euro 75) for the room per night with the price being reduced on night number two. Around 200metres down the road towards the harbour area is the local village shop where groceries can be bought.
