Bedhot Homestay is a truly amazing place. Bedhot, the owner, is an artist, with many of his paintings displayed on the grounds. The homestay itself is the work of an artist too.

The courtyard with its palms and other plants is a green oasis, the traditional wooden Javanese pavilions within the courtyard invite to sit and relax in beautiful, luxurious wooden furniture, and if it weren’t for the many attractions of Yogyakarta, one could easily just enjoy these surroundings for the entire day. No part of the homestay looks the same, each part is individually designed and crafted, and different pieces of art are displayed throughout.

We had a ‘standard’ room which was already rather luxurious, not particularly large, but large enough for our needs and very nicely furnished. Our room opened right onto the main courtyard, and whilst the communal space of the large pavilions was just a few steps away, the palms and trees in between made it feel private and secluded at the same time.

What filled this beautiful place with soul was the homestay’s team who were providing such a warm and friendly welcome. Many special thanks to Ipung, Lolita and Adit and everybody else. During the last evening we were staying at the homestay we enjoyed a great meal in a vegetarian restaurant in the company of Bedhot, who recommended the restaurant and drove us there in his vintage VW car. We very much enjoyed both the meal and the conversation with Bedhot.

Bedhot’s Homestay is a beautiful and fascinating place to stay at, and the warm and friendly welcome we experienced created an atmosphere that made it more than just a place to stay for a few days but a place to truly feel at home.

I can really recommand this homestay.
I have stayed several days in Bedhot Home Stays and it was wonderfull.
Nice and clean bungalows, good service, excellent staff and a very good host.
Allthought this homestay is situated in the middel of Yogyakarta the quietness is very sirene.
Breakfast is very good and inclusive. Coffee, tea, hot and warm water is for free the whole day.
So for everybody who stays for a couple of days and more I really recommand the homestay.
For me it was more as a family than a guest.
Bedhot and staff
Many Thanks for your hospitality

Bedhot and huis whole crew are e actly the reason why we choose a homestay above an hotel. Their service is outstanding. Bedhot offered to drive us to places and we even went to a local bar with bedhot and some guests.
