This was booked as a location for a large family gathering with family members coming from North England, The West Country, London & Wales.
We booked out all three barns for the group, all three barns were immaculate, excetionally well kept and looked after, everything that you could want was included and the log fire was excellent on the Friday evening (you get a small welcome pack of fire lighters and logs etc)
Having the large barn (Sleeps 6 - 3x Double rooms) as a "centre" was great as it allowed us all to gather together for pre dinner drinks, food and after dinner relaxation.
Location was great, easy to get to from M4, M25 and M1 locations, lots to do in the local area (we visited Wimpole House, only took 25/30mins max to get there) and there was lots of information given in each of the barns for trips and excursions etc.
Would certinaly come back here for a break or family/friends gathering.
The Lordship Barns is a truly wonderful place. Our family stayed in the Granary which is perfect. It was very spacious and adequate for our large family. We loved that their was a kids basket with toys and books. The kids loved it! The farm grounds were that of an English Postcard. Just stunning. Rolling green hills, Church in the background, Vineyard next door and a barn with resident cows, which we got to feed! The Site Manager Nicola is just fantastic and so friendly and welcoming. We truly had a home away from home. The icing on the cake was that it snowed for three days. Kids just loved it! Highly recommend Lordship Barns. And it is only 1 hour from London
My daughter booked this for me and we have stayed here for the past two Christmas as we live in Cornwall we wanted to be near and see our Herts family.
Everything was just perfect, a Christmas tree in the lounge, and just to round it off we had snow a couple of days after Christmas.
We just love staying here where we can feel like home from home would recommend Lordship barns to anyone
Thank you for making our time here so lovely
We had a wonderful time in this beatiful, cosy, well equipped barn- the communal areas were great, lots of space for everyone to hang out, bedrooms were cosy and super comfortable, en suite bathrooms made it perfect for sharing with friends as well as family. The barns are situated in peaceful and beautiful surrondings and the kids loves the play area and running around the fields and taking pictures of the cows!! We had a fantastic time and would definitelt recommend!
Stayed here for a long weekend for family wedding. Booked the Granary, Wagon House & Vineyard. There is everything you need in the properties. Lots of outside space to have bbq's, relax and for kids to play. Lots of local things to do & see and only a few miles to local supermarket either.
I booked The Granary along with The Wagonhouse and The Vineyard,
for the evening before and the day of ,my wedding for my family and bridesmaids.
All 3 rentals are of a very high standard with lovely views to the open courtyard. They are decorated to a very high specification with modern furniture and fittings.
Staying in one location got the big day off to a very relaxed start and we could all travel together to the church.
I would definitely recommend all the barns either for small family getaways or for large groups.
Who would think there was such an idyllic spot so near to London. We rented The Granary for 10 days, with The Vineyard and The Coachhouse for some of the stay, for the occasion of my daughters wedding. There was nothing that could have been bettered! The Barns themselves are excellently presented with much thought having been put into the design and high quality fittings. The staff could not have been more helpful with very much a "can do" attitude, without encroaching on our privacy. They allowed us to put up a large marquee in the very beautiful grounds surrounded by lavender and the vineyard. Of course we will always remember what's was a very special day for our families - but we also will never forgets the venue. Thank-you!
