visited this place on 9th december 2012,as earlier on there was a landslide and me and hubby couldn't access this place. From Bentong town its close to another 30 mins drive,as the road is winding and gets narrow towards the end, watchout for oncoming cars that are driven by reckless idiots who don't even have the courtesy to stop!!

Overall the waterfalls was impressive with the suspension bridge, though i would have preffered a safer bridge,if you aren't careful and if somebody rocks or the bridge sways your foot could slip and get stuck between the fence and wooden deck! definitely not a place for kids.

All over the place you can see danger signs of sudden gush of waters!! a warning sign for leptospirosis!! and nobody paid any heed or took any precaution to what was written.Leptospirosis can kill and is quite rampant and known to infect stagnant pool and rivers,so kids and adults should take caution at all times!!However nobody took any caution or paid any heed to the warnings, kids below five were seen having a good dip there.

The water though appearing crystal clear, did look greenish from the rocks above and by observing ,the gush of water suddenly become more and more,as there may have been a storm somewhere upstream.Even this was ignored while those of us above noted it,that the water level was increasing. At the end of the day we left, not much to be done if you're worried of contracting waterborne diseases or worried about taking a dip at the waterfalls. This place is worth visiting, though it can be dangerous at times and a health hazard for kids and adults.

This waterfall, some 60 odd kilometers from Kuala Lumpur is a bare 90 minutes drive. The last 8 km is through a lovely forest, full of large trees , birds and the occasional butterfly. There is ample parking space, and from the car park itself one can see the water falling in a white stream in three sections from about 75 feet. The falls are reputed to be dangerous and there are several signs to that effect. However there are several pools lower down where we could see people bathing and these seem to be safe. You can climb onto some rocks to get a better view and see the whitewater from up close.
A suspension bridge crosses the river that drains the water and this leads to a picnic area. There are also several trails leadng into the forest and the trees have been labeled with scientific and common names which is useful. There is a camping site as well.
The surrounding area is thickly forested, large trees forming an amplitheatre around it. When we visited some trees were a riot of red . Several forest birds are seen and I saw at least three types of butterflies.
It is a wonderful place to spend a few hours or a whole day.

After our visit to Kuala Gandah Deerland Park and Elephant Sanctuary, on the way back to KL, we drove to Bentong Chamang Fall which was about 50 mins drive and reached there at about 4 pm, which was just the right timing.

There's a suspension bridge that connects the 2 sides of the stream. Need to be careful crossing the bridge as there were broken woods along the bridge.

This will be a nice place for picnic. Suggest to pack own food or buy food from outside as there's no cafe or restaurant.

The waterfalls can be dangerous with powerful currents. We did not have any swim there, though we did bring extra changing clothes and towel as we did not think it is suitable for our young boys. We just let the boys to play with water at shallow area.

Our last stop was to a restaurant at Bukit Tinggi and had our early dinner there.

We reached home about 7.30pm and were all tired, sweaty and smelly. But it was a good and productive day trip for the family.
