Spent two nights at Ta Cenc for a wkd break with a friend, it was my first time to this hotel, which came highly recommended. The setting, grounds, rooms, breakfast (amazing variety) and facilities are exceptionally good and the added privacy of having individual bungalows is really one of the main attractions of this hotel.
There was however two issues, the bartender had no idea whatsoever how to make a decent cocktail which was somewhat disappointing considering this is a 5 star hotel, we ordered long island ice tea's which we could barely keep down as they were so terribly strong and unbalanced, no way could it ever be labelled as a Long Island Ice tea, we had to order a glass of coke to be able to stomach the taste and furthermore the bartender seemed to be rather unhappy to have to serve us, barely said a word and was quite abrupt overall which was a little off putting.
That however, is my only complaint, overall it is an excellent hotel for a relaxing break and I would most certainly still recommend it and definitely be back again myself...perhaps with my own cocktail shaker though :)More
