Hotel Ta Cenc is set in the most beautiful setting with lovely gardens, wonderful planting, low buildings that nestle into the landscape and then views across the sea to Malta beyond. We had booked for a couple of days to get some peace, quiet and relaxation and it was just perfect! We swam at the private beach at Il Kantra, where the sea is deep and turquoise - a newly built bar/cafe meant my husband was happy too - watching the view and sipping a beer. The pools at the hotel are also great for swimming and with one dedicated to families, you can always find space and calm!. In the evenings we sat on the terrace, nursing a glass of local rose and watched the sky turn from pink to purple and midnight blue. Meals were served under the carob tree in the courtyard. Very pretty. Staff were friendly and helpful. There's obviously a lot of refurbishment gone on and it's made all the difference. Gozo - Go there!

We have visited this beautiful island on many occasion and have always stayed at Ta Cenc.We would not consider any where else, the peace and quiet, the refurbishment (ongoing),the people who staff the hotel, the surrounding area all add up to a stress free and relaxing holiday.Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Always try for a upgrade, well worth it!

Went here for the spa day. The treatments were fine and staff friendly but it lacked the little touches that make a spa day something special. It was a bit wham bam, i.e. Hello, there is a cup of water, massage see you later. The package is €45 for a treatment and a lunch which is not that expensive but I still think they could do more for it. The spa is only ok . Nothing special. The lunch included is a sandwich or a pasta. Not really a lunch. I ordered a club sandwich which took an hour and they forgot the fries. Didn't complain for fear of being made wait another age. Staff everywhere pretending to be busy. Its a bit isolated aswell. We looked at this place when booking our stay in Gozo and Im glad we didnt choose it. I cannot comment on the place as a whole and acknowledge that it has great potential. What I can say for definate is this place is not 5 star. A day was enough for us..

Good hotel in a beautiful location on Gozo. The hotel's private beach at Kantra a beautiful narrow gorge / sea inlet with crystal clear waters and great snorkelling.
The hotel's two pools are excellent and the rooms are well presented if not mind blowing.

Ta Cenc nestles in the countryside on the cliffs above Sannat from where you can walk to anywhere on the island.
Gozitans are friendly, helpful and generous and the hotel’s staff are truly representative of the islanders. They have mastered the art of providing excellent service without servility and being friendly without being over-familiar. It is a set of skills all too rare today.
The food is good and the wine better. The upgraded rooms are modern & well furnish or, if you prefer the more traditional, the Trullo suites spacious with splendid views set in beautiful gardens. The Spa provides peace, sun and a warm pool; & the gym allows one to work-off the effect of over-indulgence or inactivity. Half-board rates are competitive and offer good value for money.
Of course Ta’ Cenc isn’t perfect – nowhere is - but has great charm and (outside school holidays) tranquillity. It improves each year, particularly recently under the current management.
Why have we been going to Ta’ Cenc every year since 1996? Because we find Gozo the most relaxing place on earth and Ta’ Cenc the most delightful. If Gozo is Calypso’s isle then Ta’ Cenc is the jewel in her crown.

Room Tip: Either ask for a Trullo or adult poolside
