“Good”
Reviewed June 2, 2014 via mobile

Excellent value for money and good food. Well situated, across from a hotel where service is poor. The place was buzzing and service was fast. Well worth a visit. Will definitely go back.

“Closing time? What closing time.”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

Spent the night in here night before my wedding. 2 double gin & tonics cost a grand total of 4.70 euros each time. They were meant to close at midnight. The 2 of us left at 2:45 am. And that was only because we'd run out of money.

“Little bar with character”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

Found it after dinner on our first night, the owners are collectors of Maltese and british memorabilia so look around. The coffees and my Brandy were good and the staff friendly, had an afternoon drink there the next afternoon plenty of locals as well as tourists enjoying the afternoon sun and waiting for the bus(s) good business sense Bar by a bus stop.

We didn't eat there but what we saw being served looked good.

“Reflections of a 60's filling station”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

Situated close by the main Church this pub could go upmarket and aim for visitors wallet but doesn't do so - thank goodness.
Mirror adorned walls brought back a number of early memories thanks to them being branded with advertising mirrors depicting companies who have long left this world or been subsumed by bigger fish. Loads of petrol head memorabilia too (much of it original, I suspect) giving it a true pub feel.
Tables also set out in the front street provided an inviting feel to the place and checking the menu which contained an excellent and varied selection of 'basic' Italian type food with pasta, pizza, salads and the like - so we entered in.
We settled on chicken carbonara and spaghetti bolognaise to be washed down with a small glass of local brew and a large can of Strongbow cider. Food was extremely tasty and served in good sized portions making it extremely good value for money. Service was very good and although only one person was actually serving the tables, he did so very efficiently and without any delays.
This was a no frills service but very pleasant and I would certainly return without hesitation. Total price for food drink and one coffee was 20 euros - well worth every cent.
