Overall the Maritim hotel was a very pleasant hotel to spend our Easter break. The room was really nice & spacious with a great shower. The housekeeping service was good too. The only improvement they could make is that in the hall ways there is this lingering musty smell not sure from what because is not in the rooms. The breakfast is excellent. Didn't actually eat dinner at the hotel. The pool is lovely and the spa looks nice. There isn't a lot to do in meliha so it's really a good location for relaxing but no night life. It's €30 in a taxi to go to st Julian's. I would recommend the hotel

Nice hotel, clean and modern rooms, good service. Good breakfast, nice indoor pool. The only issue is the spacial arrangements of rooms to get to some rooms one needs to go through and underground tunnel and take 2 lifts, also during busy times difficult t to get a lift as one of the lifts was not working

This must have been our 5th or 6th visit and I have always been impressed, (so impressed that you can find a good review on this website) however this time around (3night stay between the 16th and 19th of March 2013) my wife and I have made the biggest mistake to book our stay directly with the hotel and that is when everything has started to go haywire. In our previous stays we have booked with online website and we always paid the website directly, so I said to myself since the rate is the same we might as well save the hotel the commission.
We've booked on half board basis and we have also opted for the beverage package which means we could have as much water and local wine as we like.

As soon as we arrived at the hotel we've paid our bill beforehand. We went down every night for dinner and every night we had some wine and sparkling water and to our astonishment we were charged for food and drink before leaving the hotel and there was no way that the staff tried to be understanding. We never signed for any food or drinks we took and our guest cards and bill had HB stamped on them.

Even the rooms were not cleaned and we had to inform reception everyday to have our rooms cleaned in the afternoon after seeing that no one turned up from the housekeeping department.

The location is nice and the food is good however make it a point to NEVER book directly with the hotel and provide them with your credit card details because they treat you like 2nd class guests and they charge you extra and if you complain they threaten you and say that if you don’t pay they call the police. I have already informed the Malta Tourism Authority about this dirty tricks and I hope that this will never happen again to someone else.

...It was neither good nor bad, the area is really boring, you can cover everything in a few hours, that would be my main reason not to stay here again. The shocker was the combination of the restaurant next to the swimming pool, you can smell the chlorine and that's not very appetizing.
The experience of staying there was not too bad but I coudn't wait to get home.

Excellent indoor pool, sauna, steam room and fitness center which and free of charge as they are included in the room price. However, the Spa treatments are very expensive and to my mind not worth it. Breakfast and Dinner are very good value for money but be warned, as these are served Buffet style it is better to arrive early to enjoy the full range of produce especially on a Friday and Saturday evening as the Maltese come in droves to the Hotel with their children for weekend breaks early in the year.
Excellent value for money at the right time of the year if you use HotelsCombined.com to book you stay.
Enjoy....

matched our high expectations. had a super, lovely, weekend together with my in-laws in one of the penthouse suites. Very very nice indeed. totally worth the price and also relatively cheap. good breakfast. great views and atmosphere. loved the spa !! enjoyed it to the full. enjoyed the relaxing cocktail bar on both nights, very nice indeed. Would return with no worries. cannot think of any problems or negativities... they even granted us an extra hour for checkout.
Free garaged parking, awesome views from the balcony. The private hot-tub was a highlight :D

very satisfied
