We returned to the Seabank hotel for our second visit following our first visit in July 2012.

We found a fully completed hotel, with welcoming staff, superb food and everything clean and tidy.

As return customers to the Seabank we were given a black wristband but I have to say I have no idea if this got us any better service or not, compared to those holidaymakers on their first trip. In fact we felt slightly downgraded in terms of our room.

All in all a very pleasant holiday, very well looked after, we would return. One recommendation book into the Italian, Brazilian and Chinese restaurants as soon as you arrive, otherwise you could risk disappointment. The staff in all restaurants were good, but in the Italian and Brazilian they were outstanding.

Enjoy a very good hotel.

Room Tip: Go for a third floor or above room, you will be guaranteed some type of nice view.

Visited this hotel as a large wedding party with a various age groups ranging from 3 to 75 years old.

We stayed for 10 days and everybody enjoyed the hotel.

The good points:
Staff are VERY friendly.
Hotel is VERY clean.
Food is excellent and would say the best all inclusive food I have experienced.
You can eat from 4am to 10pm
Rooms are not a bad size.
Ample sun loungers no 6am rush.

The bad points:
Location is remote there are only a couple of shops and restaurant near by.
VERY cramped around the pool area all the beds are on top of each other.
Entertainment very cheesy.
The kids club is run by kids 2 members of our party put there 3 & 4 year olds kids into the club signed them in only to find an hour later another member of the party found both kids in the hotel by themselves playing with the lifts. When they asked the kids club staff if they were missing any children they never even knew they had gone!!!!

In general I would recommend anybody to stay at this hotel and can not praise the food & staff enough.

Be careful leaving your children in the kids club.

Useful note is they do provide pool towels but charge a €10 deposit which you get back at the end of your holiday.

Dear Alyshaluke,

Primarily allow us to thank you for your review and especially for recommending it to fellow readers of this website. We are encouraged by your comments about the food, friendly staff and cleanliness.

Our kids club policy states that children under 4 years will not be signed in unless accompanied by a guardian. Also, when children are signed in, parents may give or deny consent for them to leave the kids club on their own. It would therefore be greatly appreciated if you could send us the dates and names of children to be able to check our records and get back to you with our findings. May I point out that the kids club has handled thousands of kids so far and the system has thankfully ran without a hitch.

Once again we are glad to note that all the members of your party have enjoyed their stay with us, and do hope that we will see you all again sometime soon.

Best regards,

Hubert Debono

Cool and fun. Cut my foot a few times on the bottom of the water. The food is really nice to. It's all inclusive! Nice drinks too. 3 different pools, an adults, a normal and an indoor one. There is also a little park for babies to play in. There's a kids club. And even an aqua robics class. You can book boat trips and stuff from there. The pool has a lot of chlorine in it. The sea is outside, just across the road. And even a bus stop. The entertainment is quite good to. There's a football pitch, volleyball court and crazy golf. The indoor pool is cold but still ideal. The cleaners are very good and very kind. All the staff are helpful. Everyone is smiling all the time. They clea n the pool every morning. You can book boat trips and car hires at reception. I had a great time. And I would love to go again.

Room Tip: Choose to get a pool view. It's lovely!!!

We have just returned from 5 nights at the Seabank, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Room was clean and tidy and with good air conditioning . Food was really good with several restaurants offering different themes, but some could get booked up a few days in advance. However the Mediterranean and Coral restaurants had plenty of availability and choice. On our last night they had an Indian chef in cooking curry fresh in front of you. Very tasty !. The pool has two tiers, one for families, one for adults only. Pools were busy but never over crowded. The Animation team were superb, providing sports and leisure activities throughout the day....plus shows at night . They have dedicated sports areas, eg beach volley ball, beach football, table tennis, archery etc. We have two teenage sons and they had plenty of activities to do. However there were some members of the Animation team dedicated to entertaining younger children during the day, and who showed great enthusiasm, patience and kindness . Food was available all day, and if you missed breakfast in the main restaurant then it was available until late morning in another. The location of the hotel was good as it was across the road from the beach if you fancied a change or a walk along the front.Would we go back to this hotel ? Yes, absolutely !

We have just returned from 14 nights in the beautiful spa resort Seabank Hotel in Mellieha Malta. I travelled with my husband and 8 year old daughter. We could not say a bad word about this experience, from the moment we arrived till we left we were looked after by the friendly hotel staff, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel, food, drink, pools and surroundings were beautiful, our daughter loved the kids club. The atmosphere was very relaxed, at no point did we feel pressurised into joining in with activities the animation team were friendly and always made time to chat. Our evening entertainment was very good a very talented team. I used the Spa one afternoon for a few treatments and felt very spoiled and looked after. The food was plentiful and delicious, very well presented and maintained throughout the whole buffet experience., the chef regularly came out into the restaurants to chat to diners and even invited people to look around the kitchens to see how the whole system worked on such a large scale. Our room was huge with a large balcony, all decorated in fresh white and blue on a nautical theme. Beds were comfortable and despite being away from your own bed we all slept really well. The hotel is directly opposite a beautiful sandy beach, you need to pay for sun beds as the hotel does not have a private section but to be honest for 5 euros a day who cares. The sea was warm and clear and you could walk out up to your knees for a good 1/3 of a mile so lovely for little children to play in. There is a bus stop right opposite the hotel with regular buses into Sliema and Valletta for 2.50 euro an adult for the day. You can also get onto the open top hop on hop off bus to Sliema for free every morning and afternoon, all you do is show your room key. Malta is so easy to get around and the people are so friendly I would say use your imagination and the adventure in you to explore yourself and not be drawn into the trip touts who want to charge double for something you can do yourself.
We will without doubt be returning soon.

Room Tip: A seaview is lovely but in reality how long will you spend sitting on the balcony looking at it, we...

I checked out the Seabank on Trip Advisor before booking and therefore my expectations were already pretty high . I must say that I wasn't disappointed. The facilities were spotless, the staff always helpful and friendly. Our rooms (we had two junior suites) were spacious and well maintained. The rooms were above the entertainment lounge but once our windows were closed (and the air conditioning switched on) we were undisturbed by any late night revellers. We were extremely impressed with the quality of food; well cooked, well presented and plenty of it. The mousse cakes beckoned a second helping! Our favourite restaurant was the Asian one - I could have eaten there two or three times as there were so many tasty dishes to choose from. Finally, the greatest compliment I can give the Seabank is that we are already planning to return same time next year with more relations and more grandchildren!

We have just arrived home, having spent 11 nights at the Seabank. I travelled with my husband, and 10 year old son.
I am somewhat staggered by some of the negative remarks on here.......a reviewer mentioned the meat being poor quality??? Were they in a different hotel? I am a real "foodie"....please be assured the quality, quantity and variety of food is excellent and a real credit to the Executive Chef, Stephen Gatt and his team.
Stephen is often available in the dining room engaging with guests, as are other members of the Management team.....they are readily available to converse with all guests.
Rooms are of a good standard, we had a pool view suite which provided ample room for the 3 of us.
The staff at Seabank have a wonderful attitude, and we were particularly impressed with Alex and Alvaro from the Animation Team and Alina in the Bar.
The activities were absolutely excellent and this contributed to my 10 year old enjoying his stay so much he is requesting we visit again next year!! Entertainment was good, and very much aimed at families. We didn't always watch the shows, as we were happy to drink on the terrace of the Il Punent Bar.
During our stay we went on the Gozo Jeep Safari - Cannot recommend highly enough -FANTASTIC!! Popeye village was much better than Blue Lagoon (Blue Lagoon is beautiful but too busy in the peak season)! Popeye village has the advantage of having amenities, with sun-loungers, inflatables in the sea that provided entertainment for all, albeit some of us prefer to watch!!
If I could suggest any improvements at Seabank, and these are niggles rather than huge concerns, I would be delighted if they would consider the following:
1. Re-filling of pre-used water bottles in a hot country does not strike me as being a very hygienic solution, the water dispensers looked like they needed a good clean. A regular wipe with a cloth and detergent would be a great improvement. I usually drink a lot of water, but was put off by the cleanliness of the dispensers....fortunately other drinks were free and readily available!!
2. There were flies in the pool area, particularly concentrated around areas where food/fruit drinks were spilt the previous day. Again nothing that a brush and a little detergent couldn't remove.

Overall a fantastic family holiday at a hotel that I would definitely recommend to others, and it is quite possible we will return!!

Dear holidayhappy24,

Allow us to thank you for taking time to write a such a positive review. We are thrilled that you had a fantastic time with us.

Our team works very hard to ensure that every guest leaves the hotel fully satisfied and nothing gives us more energy and encouragement than to know we have managed to achieve this.

Thank you for your comments about our food. Stephen and the kitchen team will surely appreciate your comments.

Alex, Alvaro and Alina have also been notified about your special mention.

Your valid suggestions have been noted.

Water dispensers have been sanitised and I will personally ensure that the frequency of cleaning will be increased. We are also investing in a new solution for the water dispensers that you will surely find more appealing.

Thank you for recommending us to others and it will be an honour if you would join our family of repeat clients.

Best regards,

Hubert Debono
