“A jewel in the crown that will become brighter over time”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

Family week away on the island of history and sunshine.
Room junior suite with glass partition spacious, newly refurbished, tea/coffee with queen size for adults and proper single beds for kids which were very comfortable. Good cleaning standard by daily maid visits but rooms on top floor still being refurb end so dusty in places. Check in took 3 hrs as room not ready until 3pm.
Food was fresh, tasty but a small variety. At the weekend they have an all inclusive deal and the hotel went from being quiet to full of guests and the food changed with more on offer and it seemed a better quality with more finesse. Snacks available between meal times drinks all day long until 11 pm but tokens needed for branded alcohol!
Pools were not heated outside but open so chilly with the wind but the heated indoor pool was ok but just too hot to sit and watch kids if you weren't swimming with towels for €10 deposit each from the spa to use and change during the stay.
Spa was good with gym which was well equipped and free to use with an instructor in the week. Sauna and chill out zone too. Lots of treatments to choose average price.
Entertainment was good in the majority but new season team learning ropes with bundles of enthusiasm and energy but no stage budget -excellent dancers and singers - pop idol finalist 2009 (Slovakia?) was shouted a lot lol! Excellent with kids and kids club looked good with own area.
Travel from hotel on local buses was fab for day pass for €2.60 each so we toured around the island - brilliant
Will return and think this hotel will get even better in time.

Stayed at the Seabank in October last year, cannot fault it, the food was varied and well presented, staff always helpful and friendly. The hotel grounds were well laid out. Both the indoor andout door pools were clean, plenty of chairs and tables. Lots to do for people of all ages Lovely position opposite the beach and handy for the bus routes in either direction Enjoyed it so much we are going back in June.

We just got back from 3 nights at the Seabank resort and spa. The hotel is very nice, the rooms well equipped and comfortable. The fact that it's all inclusive makes it great because basically there's always food and drink available at all times of the day. The food is good and the buffet has a great choice.

The rooms are comfortably big and clean. Each room has a mini fridge which is packed with bottled water. There's a kettle and tea and coffee making facilities, which are refilled daily. Only 2 things we were disappointed about.

We went there with an 8 month old, who still doesn't sit up on his own, and neither stands up. We requested a cot bed for our baby, but once we entered the room, were presented with a travel cot (which is basically a playpen). Travel cots don't come with mattresses like cot beds, and they're very low down to pick up a baby from and put to bed. When complaining about the bed, staff said that's the cot available for the baby. When asking at least for a mattress that we could place in the travel cot (aka playpen), we could only be provided with an extra duvet to be used as a mattress. With a new hotel we would have expected a normal cot bed with drop sides, but anyway, we were lucky there was a third bed in the room, and we put it next to the double bed, with the travel cot on the side, and used this as a bed for our baby.

Our 2nd complaint was the AC, and reading most of the reviews about this hotel, was apparently a very frequent complaint. In Malta the weather becomes quite hot by spring, so having a hotel room directly in sunlight all day long, makes the room very hot. We tried switching on the AC but was not working. When we asked the front desk staff, they said ACs don't work until it's hotter outside. Well, I'm sorry but we would like to decide for ourselves how hot it is, and whether to switch the AC on or not. My husband even sent an email to the management, who were kind enough to explain that the chillers of the hotel would automatically switch on once the outside temperature hits 21°C/ 69-70°F, and it was suggested to us, that we keep the balcony doors open! (Thanks, that didn't come to mind!) We were lucky enough, that during our stay it was quite windy, so the room kept a bit cool.

Otherwise, it was a very nice stay. Staff were nice, spa very relaxing, and for those visiting in summer, the pool is magnificent. Concluding, however, given the opportunity, would definitely visit this resort again.
Thanks for everyone who made the stay a nice break for our family.

Room Tip: Given the problem with the AC I would avoid rooms on the top floor

Rooms are nice, better than what I expected: nice design, spacious and clean.
Some hallway areas could do with some cleaning, probably, putting carpets there was not a good idea to start with.
Breakfast is mediocre, coffee is poor, and if you drink your tea with milk, you will only find "fake" milk (UHT) here.

Lunch was much better, good options, a lot of salads, some pasta, meats, cold cuts, some "Asian" food. They also have unlimited soft and alcoholic drinks, including tap beer, white/red/rose wine (the red wine or tap beer was not that good).

Cocktails at a bar were quite good even if they do not use original brands (cheaper no name brands).

Overall, a very pleasant experience, nice staff, but food was not that good.

As our children are older we opted for Seabank as our first all inclusive abroad on our own. We're both more than happy to say it met all our expectations. The staff were extremely polite, efficient and welcoming. As for the food, I can only say good things. A wide variety to choose from on all sittings and very tasty.
The room was immaculately clean and we were lucky enough to have a corner room with a nice panpramic view from the balcony.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It's location was ideal, away from all the hustle and bustle with easy access to public transport.
The food was excellent with a wide variety on all sittings and always fresh and tasty.
The room was immaculately clean and we were lucky enough to have a corner room with a lovely view of the beach and land.
The staff were polite, helpful and very welcoming. I really don't have anything bad whatsoever to say about our stay there. It's definitely given us the holiday bug :) Hopefully all our other holidays will be of such a high standard.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool could possibly be a little noisy as this is where the entertainment is si...

We are just back from a fab weeks break in this beautiful hotel, the staff ( Ivan, Milan & Marian) were better than superb, i mean they really could not do more to help you.
The resttaurant staff were nice, and did not rush you - and the bar staff were funny and did not grimace when you got in a round of drinks, unlike many hotels i have stayed in.
The location is remote, being near the beach - but no shops nearby - but no bad thing!
The rooms were super, i was lucky enough to get upgraded to a super sea view, and it was so spacious - but im not going to tell you the room as i think its for VIP's.
Malta is gorgeous, the people are nice & the weather better than Ireland -
A personal note to the management, im glad the evening entertainment was being changed, they were letting the hotel down a bit - although the kids club was very good my kids said.
Hope to be back when i win big on the lottery - or can save up to go back.
