This is a lovely modern hotel. It is very clean and the maid service is excellent, as are all of the staff. The quality of the food is the best we have ever had for all inclusive. Always freshly cooked and to a very high standard There were always plenty of sun loungers no matter what time you wanted one. Even though there were not many children in the hotel (we stayed for a week in October) the entertainment in the entertainment dome was aimed mainly at children. This would not have been a problem -we were aware that this is a famliy hotel and the animation team seem to do a great job with the children- The problem was that althought the adult entertainment did not start until about 9.30 pm some parents allowed their children to continue to run wild around the dome. One night in particular a few children were leaping over the balconies and pushing past the queue at the bar and people sitting at tables as they chased each other around. It was like sitting in a playground, and several people gave up trying to watch the singer/organist before we did. Someone should be keeping some sort of order.
We didn't let this spoil our holiday as the hotel is excellent in every other way, but it has stopped me giving 5 out of 5

Just returned from a week in the Seabank in Mellieha Bay. I agree with much that has already been written about the hotel. It is ideal for families, what with the Animation team, the pool and play areas, not to mention food whenever you want it.
Our room was large, with a big balcony and overlooked the pool - we did pay extra for the pool view. It was clean and the housekeeping staff were all very friendly, indeed, so were all the staff. The variety of food available at breakfast was very good. Our only real issue with the Coral restaurant, and it is nothing to do with food quality or choice, is that having largely white walls, the feel is very much of a cafe. This is not helped by guests dining in shorts and flip-flops at dinner. Maybe we are old fashioned, but we prefer to dress for dinner. There is a dress code, but it is not enforced. So either have one and enforce it - or let everyone wear what they want. For this reason, we preferred to eat at the other restaurants included in the all-inclusive option. It is nice to be waited on and not have to queue every night. I do stress that this is our preference and is no fault of the hotel.,Having said that, some of the corridors would look much better with the odd picture on the walls. They are a tad stark without

Would I recommend this hotel? To anyone with families and small children, unreservedly. If you want to be waited on, then eat at either La Vista, Mexico or Maya Beach. At least it feels as if you have gone out for dinner! Malta has a lot to offer, and this hotel is a good base form which to explore.

Room Tip: A pool view is worth the extra cost

We stayed at the newly refurbished Seabank in October 2012 and were were pleasantly surprised. We understand that this hotel has had its ups and downs in previous years, but the new owners seem to have got a grip. We arrived by car and parked outside whilst we unloaded and checked in. The hotel car park is underground and is spacious. There is a lift to the lobby,

The lobby itself is large with high ceiling and contemporary decoration. The receptionists are well turned out and friendly. We were allocated a room overlooking the pool and countryside at the rear of the hotel. I think we may have been the first occupants. It was exceptionally clean, spacious and the super-king bed had clean linen and large pillows. A large flat screen TV (no BBC except three channels of "BBC Red Button" whatever that is), was on the wall above the dresser/ drawers and there was a table and two chairs plus a big old soft chair. The balcony was equipped with a table and chars as well as a pull out washing line.

There is ample cupboard and storage space as well as a safe (no charge for use) and tea/coffee making facilities and fridge. The bathroom is large and has modern sanitary ware. The power shower was great and the bath huge. The square sink is pretty useless as it is too shallow but it was all immaculate in terms of cleanliness. The daily service was thorough and the young lady who looked after it was quite lovely. The corridor carpets have not yet been replaced and they are rather dirty in places. The lifts are new and fast.

The AI model here provides a large selection of local beer, wine, spirits, juices and the bar staff are friendly and efficient. The main bar is just off the lobby and it has a rather nice terrace overlooking the bay. The dining room has been remodelled with new tables, chairs, crockery and cutlery. We were more than happy with the wide choice of food on offer. The staff were efficient and and tables cleared quickly once plates and dishes had been finished with. There is a dress code for evening meals but sadly, there were those who came in in shorts, backwards baseball caps and scruff order. The assistant general manager did say that they were in a bedding in period and they were going to try and work out how such situations should be handled - after all, we are all paying guests and the hotel is not a military mess!

The pools and terraces to the rear of the hotel are large and well equipped with sun beds and sun shades. One minor criticism is that there are no chairs available. The pool bar was spotlessly clean. (Once the main dining room closes mid morning, those still requiring breakfast can get it at the pool bar which is a great idea). The main swimming pool has disabled access but the indoor pool does not.

There is a spacious theatre type room with ample seating and a large stage. The animation team of young people entertain then kids by day and do song and dance routines in the evening. We always sat outside on the terrace looking through the windows so having the best of both worlds.

I conclude by saying that Malta hotels do not always do what it says on the tin but in this case The Seabank Hotel fits the bill if you like the AI holiday. Because this is Malta, it has a different clientèle from the Costas and in a way, that is refreshing. We had a lovely week with no complaints.

We have just returned from a week at Seabank Hotel. Because it has just been renovated everything is bright and new but it is also being kept that way by a very dedicated team. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The main restaurant has a vast choice of dishes that change daily. The only problem is there is so much that is so good it is hard to choose what to have as, try as you might, you can't eat it all. One night we chose to eat in the Chinese restaurant but were a little disappointed as it did not seem as good as the main one. The enjoyment of the meal in the small quiet Chinese restaurant was probably marred by the noisy hen party of about twenty on the table beside us.
We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and hope to return.

Really lovely stay in this hotel and the staff always friendly and helpful. The food in the main restaurant was excellent and so was the oriental restaurant. I would certainly go there again. My main criticism is the noise from the road outside and the building work going on by the top pool area but of course that will eventually finish. Think the hotel has some issues with the plumbing after the renovations as the basin waste in the bathroom never did work properly, neither did the ones in the toilets by the top pool but hopefully all these tiny gripes will be sorted. It was excellent value for money as has been previously stated - free water, safe in room, lots of sunbeds, tv. Well done the Seabank!

Room Tip: Ladies might find it useful to take a fold-up mirror as the electrical sockets for own hair stylers...
