Very good first impressions. Modern, spacious room & reception area, pleasant grounds, even with outdoor pools drained and beach area unmaintained it made for a pleasant stroll. There were loungers & chairs set out for those willing to catch some early sun. Sadly it didn't fully deliver, but good points first:
-spacious seaview room was well worth the surcharge - lovely view of the bay & Gozo ferries (as opposed to car parking on the other side. )
- nice, modern, big bathroom with very good, strong shower
-Free Wifi in the lobby, which had a cosy, comfy layout
- breakfast was good with a selection to fit most tastes, unless one wanted non-reformed meats in the continental section..
-friendly & efficient staff e.g balcony light was fixed in no time; on all but that one day when our room did not get cleaned at all; particularly annoying due to toiletries being served in single dose sachets, no top up meant we were out..

Now the real disappointments:
-asked for a double room on booking. Got two twin beds.. We managed to zip mattresses together on 2nd night ourselves..
-asked for a quiet room, got one surrounded by some teenage school (?) tour screaming and shouting down the corridors
~Restaurant lacking a real a la carte option coupled with resorts remote location will prove a problem for anyone without transport and unwilling to pay €20 for buffet or €27 for a fixed menu..

× leisure area.. One of the main reasons for choosing this resort disappointed the most. Opened till 7only, no good for those out exploring during the day..
Indoor pool looks nice, but is way too cold to relax in, nowhere near the 27-29°C it was supposed to be. More a 21°C good for swimming laps, but too small and full of kids for that..
Not had a chance to try/find either the sauna or steam, can only assume they closed with Spa / reception at 6. (7 in hotel brochure..)
Gym is small, but ok as not busy. Left to its own devices a lot of the equipment is in desperate need of some attention/lubrication. No opening times are advertised anywhere and only by getting kicked out half way through routine by security found out what time its supposed to close..
A personal bugbear of mine is displaying cards re not changing towels if not in bathtub (and charging for spa/beach towels) and then replacing them every day..
Balcony lights turned on all night in the whole resort with no way of turning them on further stain their green credentials..

Just back from this Hotel for a short break to celebrate my birthday with my wife.

We booked a Junior Suite which had a great view over the sea with distant views of the islands of Gozo and Comino.

Check in was fast and flawless. Everything was explained without any hassle. Room was ready when we arrived and was very clean. Since we booked a Junior Suite the price included Bathrobe & Slippers, Coffee/Tea making facilities, Ironing board, separate bath and shower, big LCD TV, fully stocked mini bar, safe and beautiful decor. Seems that smaller rooms miss some of these items. Nevertheless I am pleased that we got what we paid for.

The resort has a small mini market. Prices are a bit on the steep side but it's an essential shop since the resort is away from anything.

Restaurant is in a buffet style. Great choice of food and excellent service throughout. Quality of food is good. Desserts were average. Maybe some tables (seating 2) are a bit too close to eachother restricting peaceful conversation with other party.

Bar was well stocked and every evening decent entertainment is present. Might be the case of increasing the number of TVs in the bar area.

Had a look at the indoor pool which was just beautiful.

Checkout was once more flawless

The only disappointment I have is the price charged for WIFI. *Euro for 24 hrs is a bit too steep in 2014.

Nevertheless this has been a great break. Will be back!!!

Thanks

Room Tip: Suite is the best bet. Not too expensive, roomy and with an awesome view. Comfort rooms seem (on pap...

Spent Valentine's weekend at this hotel and it was a great experience, something which we wouldn't mind spending it here again here!

Pluses:
- Hotel is very clean, tidy and quiet
- Hotel is located in a relaxing and beautiful part of the island
- Staff is very friendly, helpful and courteous
- Food was excellent and menu varied between the two nights we spent there
- Walls separating rooms are real walls not thin partitions
- Room and bathroom were quite big and comfortable

Minuses:
- Access to the pool is through the lobby, forcing you to walk from there in swimming-poolish clothing
- Pool does not have any clock visible, making it impossible to track the time whilst swimming unless you have your own waterproof watch with you
- Restaurant tables are placed in a way that you always have other hotel patrons eating right next to you i.e. tables are practically touching
- Room heater did not work correctly
- Hotel parking is relatively small however one can park right outside the hotel where there is ample space

Overall, the value for money and experience were excellent and would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends!

Room Tip: Strongly suggest to get the sea-view upgrade, well worth the extra little money spent!

We spent the last weekend at this resort with friends and we really enjoyed it. The room, which was a panoramic seaview room was very nice, and spotless. We had booked a cot, and found it immediately in the room, and were very pleased to find a proper cot, not a travel cot, which most of us mummies, refer to as playpen. The food was great..a very rich variety of hot and cold snacks, and the desserts were very tasty, and refilled immediately as soon as one ran out. The staff managed to deal with the big number of people coming all at once, and there wasn't a time when the buffet was found empty, or if it was, it was refilled immediately. Drinks were not included, but were of a normal price. Since it was a weekend that was on offer, I suggest the hotel invests in more high chairs, because at one point we went for dinner, and the restaurant was out of high chairs. The hotel is in an optimum location, and could only imagine how nicer it would be in summer with those 3 pools and beach. On the whole, we really enjoyed ourselves, cannot complain about the food or staff, and would definitely go there again.

This was our second visit to Ramla Bay and it has improved greatly in the past few years. The location may seem a little out of the way but don't be put off by that. You get the best of both worlds- peaceful excellence and just a short walk to bus stops all over the island. The staff are very helpful , nothing too much trouble and the variety and quality of the food in the restaurant is excellent. We were there during a local bank holiday and many of the Maltese people were staying and eating at the hotel, so that is always a good sign that the hotel has an excellent reputation with the locals. We will definitely return!

I went to look at the reviews and cannot believe what has been written! I went just before Easter last year. The weather wasn't hot, didn't expect it to be, so the indoor pool was a bonus. There was always something we liked from the choice available. Drinks were reasonably priced and food at the bar delicious. We had a lovely big room overlooking the entrance, didn't bother us it wasn't a sea view as we were out and about. We got a bus ticket and really enjoyed exploring. Malta is beautiful and everyone was friendly. this is a lovely hotel for a nice chilling break.

We went for break there from saturday to Monday. The room was very spacious and we really liked it. Dinner on Saturday was excellent, with food in abundance. Breakfast on Sunday morning was nothing less.

The same cannot be said for Sunday dinner and Monday breakfast as it was much on a smaller scale. I can understand the fact since there are less visitors, this is done so there will not be many wastes.

On the bad side, what i have to complain about is that I paid the same amount of Money for nights, so I would excpect the same level of service (food). If there will be less of a choice when it comes to food on weekdays then price should be less.

Another complaint is that even though we were guests of the hotel, we borrowed a towel to use the indoor pool and we were charged extra money for this.

On the whole it was a positive experience and will recommend it to people.

Dear Steven_Cortis,

Thank you for choosing our Resort for your short stay and most of all for recommending us. Your comments have been noted. When we quote a weekend rate we average out the price per day otherwise we would risk complicating our price structure. Our pool towels are against a nominal charge, this charge applies also per towel change. Although we are aware that some guests would want this service for free, we apply this charge in order to minimize the towel changes as much as possible. By so doing we have managed to also minimize the amount of harmful detergent down the drain.
We look forward to host you once again

Best regards
