I treated my girlfriend to a short 4 night all inclusive break at this hotel for her birthday and I can definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The first thing you notice about the hotel is the spectacular views, the views alone are worth it's weight in gold. We upgraded to a suite which the room the lovely and kept very clean by the maids. The main restaurant again has breathtaking views of the ocean and the food was very nice, the salds and deserts were lovely and all the meats they cooked were very tender and perfectly cooked. The only disappointment was breakfast because there was not much choice but every other meal made up for this. Also the house red wine is nice too but avoid the white if you can.

The pool areas are excellent and again kept wonderfully clean. All in all this hotel is worth a vist. I did read some of the other reviews on here and in true British style I can honestly say they are complaining about nothing as usual.

I am a regular 4/5 star hotel business traveller and although it may not be the 4 star you get in some countries i would rate this hotel 4 star.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a suite

This was a special 5-day offer, with upgrade on arrival, we rang beforehand & requested twin room with sea view & sunny balcony, that's exactly what we were allocated, room was down as 'economy' but was adequate, no problem at all, staff very polite & helpful, meals & most drinks were free on the upgrade, location, fine - right at the top end of the island right by the Gozo ferry terminal.

downside, took usually 40 mins+ to get to St Julian's, etc., so a little off the beaten track - but not the resorts fault, also ferry terminal & local roads currently undergoing major rebuilding, causing lots of dust & noise when away from the hotel - but again, not the hotel's fault.

That's the only reason we marked it 4 instead of 5 points, we both had a fantastic break & would definitely go again if the offer was repeated!!

I would have rated this hotel higher but for the poor standard of the room we stayed in. The hotel itself is nice with three pools to choose from, good food and pleasant staff but the accommodation was nowhere near what it should be for a 4 star hotel. The balcony door was broken, the bathroom was dirty and the tv and kettle looked as if they had been there since the hotel was built. The beds were ok and extra bedding was provided but the room was definitely more of a top end 2 star room. This slightly marred our experience of what was an other wise very enjoyable stay. Would holiday here again but would hope that the hotel would be looking to upgrade it's rooms.

Dear Sir / Madame,

Thank you for your review.

The hotel offers four types of room starting from an economy seaview room, standard seaview, standard bayview and a Junior suite. The economy room were given a facelift last winter with the other three types of rooms totally refurbished or built in the last three years.

I cannot comment on the room since I do not know which room you were in.

We do hope that you would reconsider to visit us should you decide to come back to Malta.

The hotel was good, the price was good (half board), the buffet breakfast and evening meals were good. for flavour and choice. Lovely view over the swimming pool and ocean. Room was big and spacious. Booked 3 tours of Malta for 35 euros per person. Booked the tours in the hotel and 2 extra tours were free. Although at the far north of the island great for getting on the tour buses as we were first so you get a front row seat on the top deck and if going on the normal Malta buses (great value) you were always sure of a seat.. And we are on holiday who cares it takes one hour to get to Sliema or Valetta. The North and South Tours (Hop On, Hop Off) great for seeing the island. Also walking distance to the Gozo ferry (3rd tour) and after crossing on the boat you pick up the bus on Gozo. 7 days blue sky and deep blue water. Could say more but if you want a nice holiday away from the busy resorts but within easy reach of all the good places to see, then I recommend this. Road works being built in front of hotel but no distraction as we were at the back of the hotel over the swimming pool and with the tours we were out all day. Also road works reaching completion. Also everyone helpful in the hotel, tour operators and bus drivers etc. Everyone speaks English and it is great to watch the driving. First vehicle on the roundabout gets it, there is no sense of 'give way'. Overall very good value for money as we were not expecting much for what we paid but it turned out great.

Room Tip: Get a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the swimming pool which also overlooks the sea. Mini...

We have just returned from a one week stay, we booked this hotel for it's quiet location on a half board deal, our travel agent said they did'nt do all in-clusive. Our 1st room was very dusty and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, on reporting this, the cleaner said she couldn't smell anything as she was a smoker,we were then offered another room which was ok. We then discovered the hotel did do all inclusive and asked if we could pay the extra and upgrade but was told no, they did'nt offer this facility. The dining room staff were very nice escpecially Patricia, nothing was ever too much for her. The bar men never smiled and made you feel everything was a effort for them. The lounge/entertainment area lacked atmosphere and overall the hotel could do with some upgrading, the outside pools are lovely, the children's play area is right next to the main road. There is 10euro deposit for the pool towels, they are so threadbare and thin you'd be taking you're own if you have weight allowance. We also paid 17euro for the room safe, we thought this was a deposit BUT it was a full charge.(they did'nt tell you this)
The current road works were not a bother, you couldn't hear them when at the pool.
We didn't bother with organized bus trips as you can buy a a 7 day local bus pass for 12euro, its easy to get around Malta and the bus terminal is outside the hotel next to the Gozo ferry and they run frequently.
We will return to Malta but not to this Hotel it does not warrant a 4* star more like a ok 3*.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the pool.

Dear Sir / Madame,

Thank you for your review.
Your comments have been noted and heads of department informed.

We do apologize about the safe, there is a charge to it as specified in our website and the hotel information folder in each room.
All Inclusive we had a promotion with a travel agent for the months of May and June. We do not sell All Inclusive in the hotel.

I am disappointed that you will not consider us for your next vacation in Malta.

Just returned from our short break away, thank you Broadway Travel, the weather was fantastic....food was plentiful, varied and extremley well presented...and it all tasted so good we ate too much as we couldn't decide what to have ending up with several small portions of everything.
Our room was large, overlooked the bay and the pool. There was some dust from the works going on at the ferry but the stopped the second day so nothing to prevent the sunbathing.
The hotel will will appeal to anyone at this rediculously low price.
Ryan Air flight was no trouble and went very smoothly.
All round value for money.

The bar staff are extremly slow if there are more than 2 customers; seem to become spooked and freeze.
Suggest you bring your own as you will spend half the night standing in line.
Otherwise the hotel is good value even though it needs a bit of a refurbishment.
