We stumbled in without a booking and were seated on the first floor in a snug corner. The waiter apologised that service may be slow as the restaurant was full but the weren't fully staffed. Completely forgivable given it was the day after the new year and its Malta! Although at first glance hearty dishes are on the menu (pig head, pork belly etc) the food has a finesse akin to Michelin star offerings both in terms of presentation and importantly taste (said confidently having sampled 6 Michelin star restaurants with 14 stars amongst them in 2012). A good selection of wines despite a modest cellar, we were surprised by a flavoursome sword fish amuse-bouche before our sea urchin linguine starter. Our mains were the stuffed quail with spinach and the roast pork belly - both melt in the mouth. Well, we came back and brought friends and tried the rest of the menu which was also fantastic! The amuse-bouche the second time around (only 3 days later) was a duck arancini - another tantilising tastebud delight. Not one to miss!

We were told of this place at the airport, we had been to Malta several times before but not heard of Giuseppi's, we were staying nearby and popped in and were lucky to get a table. The food was fab and the staff were friendly. The decor upstairs was amazing and by the time we left the place was full and quite busy but that added to the pleasant experience.

it is very friendly and the staff are helpful , ready to help explain the menu, the wines are plenty and varied but the whole setting is very rustic and unhurried, a place for couples or older parties of 4 or more, not for kids or younguns. lol.spoil yourself
