“Great steak at good prices”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

This one was recommended by a taxi driver. He recommended two but said we should try here first if we like good steak. The steak was excellent and for the quality, priced well. The starters were also of very high quality.

The place is decorated with thought and themed along the lines of a Spanish steak house. The menu is varied where meat is their primary concern. Plenty to choose from for none meat lovers however.

The service was top rate and amiable. This place is off the tourist track, but for the tourist who doesn't mind travelling out a little for excellent food, this place is well worth a visit. It is 10 minutes from las americas.

“Very good”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

Great place for family/friends gathering, delicious food (esp meat, but also few veggie&fish dishes), cozy atmosphere, fast and immaculate service (lately they also started to speak English!), easy location to find. Highly recommend for those who love traditional Canarian food and especially meat dishes!

“Amazing steaks”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

I was really looking forward to dining with the boys at la brasa. Me and Mrs O are big fans and so I figured my friends would appreciate big lumps of meat. However, that is to understate the finess of the culinary skill on display here. We started with croquettes and local cured meats and ordered our steaks. There are other options but the steak is so good I've never been close to ordering something else. To partner we chose a really nice Rioja gran reserva from the islands most comprehensive wine list. The steaks were spot on really tasty, well sized and beautifully cooked. I only have one criticism which is the sheer amount of sauce you get. I love the flavours but there is too much so I usually order on the side. Desserts are home made and delicious. This is a top notch establishment and would hold its own in any culinary city

“Diners Tip”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

Jane was missing a steak and mentioned it in a fish restaurant. "Try La Brasa" said the man at the table next to us.
We were the first there when it opened at 7:30 next evening and remained the only clients for quite some time. We later learned that locals dine later as it was filling up as we left.
Heavy dark wood abounds and the meat prominently displayed at the entrance. The waiter was helpful and attentive explaining the standard hors d'ouvres of tomatoes garlic and bread. Simple but splendid. We shared two starters which were unusually priced as "units" and may have ordered more but this proved unnecessary as the amount of fillet steak delivered as our main coursewas impressive and beautifully cooked although the garlic sauce slightly too salty. The house red proved to be a bold spanish wine, a shame as the local wines are worth drinking and are not exported. Again our bill was reasonable for the quality if the food and the experience.
