“Excellent Restaurant”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

Had a great meal here in January 2013. Didn't book, went to a bar in La Camella for a drink then to the restaurant at around 9pm. (Got the bus there from Los Cristianos). We browsed the menu, asked the owners questions about the food - very helpful, helping us decide what we wanted (mixed starter was gorgeous as were our main courses). The atmosphere is very relaxed and great to see the open kitchen, always nice that the restaurant is proud to show the food as it's prepared.
We spent sevral hours there, no rush. The owners came and chatted to us after our meal, lovey couple. They booked a taxi for us back to town (San Telmo) where we had cocktails at IMO overlooking Las Vistas beach. We'll definately be going back for the Lamb dish....they ask for 24hours notice to allow the lamb to be marinated to perfection.
Overall, a fabulous restaurant out of the main tourist area. Beautiful place, excellent food and service.
Total cost was around 40 Euro. Starters, main, wine and coffee for 2. At the time, worked out as £17pp

“not real iranian kebab”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

we went there to have some iranian kebab. I have read somewhere that they serve kebab too. i asked the waitress for it and she left, after a few minutes she got back and told us that what we have ordered is basically pork and if we want kebab we'd rather order "shoulder of lamb". she couldn't speak english properly and I didn't acually understood that she is suggesting us to change to a meal which is 2 times more expensive. the food arrived and altough the meat quality was good, but it was not iranian kebab. it was cooked lamb meat with lots of curry. and the rice was not also iranian rice. it was one of those round shaped rices.
but still I should say that they were quite friendly ( the owner mr Hossein and his wife) and the restaurant was decorated nicely with wood and a tree hanging from the ceiling. The furniture was also dark brown leather in harmony with wood color. There are many books standing in bookshelves. order iranian fresh made bread with yoghurt.

overall we were disappointed because we had also paid for taxi to get there only to get some iranian kebab which is very tasteful but at the end we were left with a bill that we hadn't ordered and we didn't get what we expected.

“A Taste of the Middle East in Tenerife”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

We visited this lovely and unusual restaurant twice on a recent visit to Tenerife.
Situated on the main road in the small town of La Camella just 15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Los Christianos and Las Americas.
The decor is striking. There is a beautiful bar area with wonderful lighting and very comfortable seating. The quality of furnishings in the restaurant area only enhance the general ambience. Rows of books set out as in a library (hence the name) is also a striking feature.
And then there is the food, mostly Iranian/Turkish in style. Really really good. Don't expect greasy kebabs, this is cuisine of high quality. The service, by the owner whose wife works in the open kitchen, is both professional and very friendly. Good wine, good value. Please visit to give your taste buds a real treat!

“Wonderful restaurant”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

We have been visiting this restaurant for three years and it is wonderful. The mixed starter is great followed by either the pork or turkey with rice. All the food is cooked freshly with an open kitchen and the owner and his wife are so helpful. Decor is great and spotlessly clean. It is on the TF 28 right at the start of La Camella. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

“Unusual and interesting”
Reviewed January 3, 2013 via mobile

We have driven past this so many times and not really noticed it. When we looked in mi gusto for somewhere local and saw this advertised we drove round looking for it without knowing it was the one we passed everyday so I'd recommend better signage. Mixed tapas to share included mushrooms aubergines courgettes chorizo and salsa with Iranian bread, nice but not wow. Mains of Iranian pizza and a special salad with tuna and feta were wow though, very tasty and unusual. Prepared fresh in the open kitchen, no pings heard!! Not many people in ( Wednesday night) so not much atomsphere but English radio station playing in background provided some songs to sing along to which helped. Well worth a visit if just to try something unusual and fresh
