We visited the Gardens in October 2011 and while we attempted to visit again in September 2013, it was not open due to a local holiday (normally, they are open Monday to Friday).
It will only take between 15-30 minutes to walk around the gardens but there are a good range of plants and flowers native the Canary Islands, of which you can take a good number of photos. While this area of Maspalomas is fairly quite in general, you will find a bit of extra peace in tranquillity if you decide to sit in here for a while.
The gardens are approximately 10 minutes walk from Cordial Sandy and Green golf bungalows, where we were staying, and is located right next to the Vista Flor Complex.
Worth a visit if you are in the area but I wouldn't go out of your way if you were not already in Maspalomas.
