Beach nice, but very crowded and no sunbeds left, lots of sandstorms,( probably wrong day?) be careful of the free tshirt ( in reality a timeshare scam( which we narrowly avoided, never agree to do something straight away is the rule!), on the way into the beach,

This is a huge expanse of yellow, soft, (and natural!) sand backed by sand dunes. We always go the lighthouse end (Faro de Maspalomas) as it is a bit quieter there. The beach is lined with bars and there is a small promenade with lots of shops selling seaside essentials and other knick knacks. However, for me, the best part of this beach is the sea. Being the Atlantic it comes crashing in and it is great fun to jump the waves and try to "surf". However, be careful, you will be knocked over!

If you aren't German then this place holds nothing for you.
It is very clean, lots of bars etc but has no authenticity. The only shops and authentic gran Canarian items I found were at the airport.
Beach a let down. Sunbeds crammed together 100 metres away from the sea! People just walking up and down! Sunbeds expensive at 7.50€!
No nice places to eat unless you want tacky, foreign food places which you can get anywhere.
Men only clubs just down road on the way to beach was not a great attraction for children to see. Very tacky.

Nice bars & places to eat; clean & well presented; long prom to the beach. There is a nudist area so do be mindful if you are easily offended! Also some street traders are a nuisance.

Great beach, we have been walking every morning with our almost 5 moths old son on the beach with the prem. Gret fresh sea air and big naps for him.
