The drive to the location is almost as beautiful as the park itself, it is truly in the middle of nowhere! You will see an amazing variety of animals, be sure to go early in the day so not to miss any of the shows, the dolphin and the bird shows were particularly breathtaking. I agree with previous reviews that this is a very sophisticated place, its presented better than a lot of UK/US zoos. Refreshments are very pricey so it may be a good idea to bring your own lunch.

We've visited this park on three occasions, and enjoyed it every time. The location is stunning, though it is a bit hilly. The dolphin show is excellent, as are the birds of prey and parrot shows. You can have pictures taken with a dolphin ( €20), but they do allow you to take your own pics as well.

After a few trips to GC I visited Palmitos Parque at the request of my mum who loves dolphins. After the hair-raising drive there ( there are loads of taxis if u don't have a car) I was really pleased to find a high quality park, similar in quality to Disney - clean, modern, well designed, really quite sophisticated. If you think that this kind of place would vaguely interest you then take a chance, you'll have a lovely time, even if its not groundbreaking in any way. Plenty of diverse exhibits; meerkats, orchids, butterflies, exotic and bug birds, cactus garden and of course the (too brief) dolphin show were highlights.
