I think others have said the same, this park is simply not Siam Park or a patch on Siam park. Granted it's more expensive, a lot busier and they stop you from bringing your own food and drink but I would take Siam Park every time.

Aqualand is small and in need of some serious upgrading. There is plenty of land around they could make it very very good.

Plus points.

Free Parking
Close to Maspalomas
No hassle getting in
You can take your own food and drink
Queuing minimal

Minus Points

Some parts of the park are simply too hot to walk on without flip flops
Not good value for money
The rides are small and over very quick
The wave pool is pointless, my local outdoor pool 30 years ago produced better waves.
The wave pool had lots of leaves and other bits in it

Other people have mentioned about the lazy river being too slow, I disagree it was fine and what you would expect from a lazy river, if you want to go faster paddle!

Only 1 ride was closed for maintenance which other people have said was an issue.

We arrived around 10am and left at 4pm, it's not really a full day out unless you want to ride the same chutes over and over again, or pay for a sunbed!

The water was warm and not salty!

I did have a brief look and the food and drink prices and they didn't seem too expensive, granted they weren't cheap but you would always expect to pay a little bit more.

I guess if you are on Gran Canaria and can get cheap tickets it's worth a day out but don't pay full price.

We went to the waterpark after buying the tickets from one of the street reps. We took the bus to here, and spent all day there. Had a really good day. We left and waited for the last bus across the way from the park, after waiting a half hour we were told by the many taxis in the taxi rank that the last bus to Puerto Rico had broken down. We were very reluctant to believe them at first as the Spanish people just seemed to carry on waiting for the bus as if the taxis did this all the time to get large fares. In the end, due to it being to hot to wait for this bus, we ended up getting a taxi back and it cost us roughly €25. So just be wary if the same situation happens to you as you will no the Spanish taxis are definitely trying to rip tourists off. But overall the water park was worth it

Myself and my partner are both in our 30s but we thought this place was fantastic, great for keeping cool in the sun, easy to get to, and the waterslides are fantastic if you are a big kid too at heart!!

I have been to aqualand in Tenerife and thought wud b to the same standard, this park is rubbis compared to Tenerife s, also price is joke ajd also try charge you 8 euros for double rings for slides, then 4 euro sun bed then l8cker 4 euros, it all adds up. Plus you waitin 30 to 40 min to get on slide, on entry to park looks very bare, cud do so much more to improve. Also my other half hurt her back on 1 slides and staff and managers did not care 1 bit, managers words to us was, once in park its ur choice and injuries not there responsibllty.if we ever go bak to gran canaria will never b goin bak here..

After reading several bad reviews about the place we decided to ignore them and make our own mind up. I can honestly say that it was a fantastic day out. We took our own packed lunch and plenty of water to drink and had an absolutely awesome day. We had our grandson who was only 6 months old, but there was still plenty of fun for him in the wave pool and the children's area. My husband had never been to an aquapark before and he was like a little boy again. The park was kept imaculately clean, and there were plenty of lifeguards around advising people of how to approach the various rides and slides. We took a taxi from our apartments and it was only a few Euros and gave us door to door service with no waiting time. The 25Euros a head was well worth paying for and we were given the option of a second visit the next day for only 8euros a head,Personallly I think 35 euros for everything (transport, loungers, all those rides) was a pretty cheap day out. Go again? Oh Yes!
