Just returned from a 2 weeks break ,Like most spent too much money due to the poor quality of the hotel and the lack off entertainment to keep my 14 and 11 year old girls content . hotel badly in need of an update we are not fuss pots but oh yes it so needs to shut down and re open when a lick of paint added and sink attached to the wall. The food is very very poor as i said we are no fuss pots but i wouldn't feed my dog that slop, the deserts was like hair mouse which they called angel delight and the jelly was more harder then concrete we all lost weight not a bad thing i guess lol .Drinks were not the best, bar shuts on the dot at 11pm. I asked if some music could be put on at 12 mid day as i was bored out my head to be told not allowed to until 5pm hell we are on holiday what's that about no no wait the Spanish said no that about right they seem to run the place despite the brits also paying money for their holidays. The children s entertainer was funny as he loved the brits to play water polo he would shout on mic Brits v the rest of the world and out we all came it was pretty brutal at times but so so funny we all were battered and bruised and a few drowned heads lol " yeah go brits". overall had a nice time but was for the people we all meet which made the holiday and not the hotel and entertainment . A big thankyou to the Scottish family who made my birthday special.

spent two weeks at this complex AI the staff did there best but it was one rule for the spanish guests and another for everyone else the barman was really good but he was also the pool attendant, waiter and cleaner only one barman meant waiting a lot for drinks at times, the food was very poor repeated the childrens entertainer was very good he kept the young kids amused most of the time but there was very little for teenagers and adults to take part in rooms were outdated but clean the cleaners were really good gave ours a tip towels changed almost every day highlights was beating the germans at water polo and the games against the spanish were a bit aggresive at times but good fun the british team u know who u r we were brill spent more money than planned as we were bored a lot not a good AI hotel would never go back there

Just returned earlier this week.Better than i expected due to some of these reviews!! good cheap cheerful basic hotel.food not so good, not wide choice,my daughter lived on lettuce for 1 week, as children not really catered for.apartments could really be done with air conditioning, got roasting in middle of night!
met some really nice people round pool, really friendly.one bad point is no public toilets round pool, had to keep running to toilet in apartment, which is up stairs, not very handy especially for kids.
enjoyed trip to funfair which was 20 minute walk, good family rides.
beware of quiz night in entertainment, quite racy questions, not suitable for kids at all.rest of entertainment good ,He remembers all the kids names, they loved it.
wouldnt book back there again, but was a nice basic holiday!!

Please please dont listen to any bad reviews people have written. This hotel is lovely, the rooms are basic, but its not 5*, and the only time I spent in my room was to sleep and shower to go out for the evening. The food is fine, sometimes a little strange, but this is the Gran Canaria interpretation of English Food, and there was always something to eat (even if the combination was odd!!). Breakfast - sausage, bacon, eggs, cereal, toast, jams, fruit, ham, cheese, croissants, cakes - FAB! Lunch - chicken, fish, beef, chips, potatoes, veg, soup, and a pudding selection (again sometimes a little strange, but my child loved the jelly and angel delight!!), Dinner - Similar to lunch and again puddings. My only criticism is that there wasnt enough traditional food, although on sunday they served a huge pan of Paella which was ace.

The drinks are flowing from 11am-11pm, and then the bar shuts, as everyone staying there has children, this is perfect as you're not kept up too late... its only €5 for a taxi to Playa De Ingles if you want something more lively. If you do have young kids, ask for a room away from the bar, as some of the older kids do stay up playing pool/table tennis till midnight.

The Entertainment was fantastic, the 'man' as my daughter called him, put on a Kids Disco almost everynight with all the kids up dancing and playing games, hula hoops, limbo, sack racing, but great spirited and competitive, and you get to know everyone as we're all together all day long so its fantastic.. everyone cheering on each others children. Then it was bingo, quiz, a bird show (ace!!), and an animal show with snakes, spiders, lizards which my daughter loved.

The pool was lovely, very clean, although the water was a little salty (but you're not going to be drinking it!!), we got up early to get beds, but didnt really see anyone not getting a bed... There is also competitions with the 'man' all day long too, pool, darts, archery etc, which again all the kids get involved in.

There is a free bus service to the beach, 5 minutes away... fantastic.

It does seem a little bit out of the way, but if you want a quiet relaxing holiday, what could be better?? 2 minutes walk away is the local shop, and 10 minutes away a kiddies park, and just on from that 'Holiday World' - a great fair, with amusement arcades, bowling, restaurants etc - we went on our last night and the kids loved it.

The staff were great, so friendly, happy to help.... the rooms were cleaned every other day, and not too early in the morning!!!

We had to complain once to our neighbours who were up making noise one night, but this wasnt the fault of the hotel.

I cant believe people are moaning about no air conditioning, stay at the 'Princess' 5 star down the road if you want that!!

Overall, great holiday, and I would go back tomorrow

After reading all the reviews i am thinking we didnt stay at the same hotel. We paid 700 pound for 2 of us including flights all inclusive, and would definitly go back. The staff are all pleasant and very helpful. The rooms were standard but very clean. I thought the food was really good lots of choice. Of course u get foods which u dont like but u get that everywhere. They offer a free bus to the beach and returns about 10 times throughout the day. Would definitly recommend a lovely place 4 families and couples !!!!!

MY wife and I spent 1 week from the 12 to 19 June at the Oasis. Our impression was not a good one, breakfast was ok there was enough choice. There was no air conditioning an extra 70 euros to rent one. My wife was anoyed to find no hair dryer 18 euros to rent one for the week. We were put in room 102 which we thought would be good as it was away from the noise of the pool and bar, but we were next to the reception and cars/buses arrived at all times of the night wakening us up. The bar shut at 11pmsharp each night and served the worst lager ever so weak, the spirits were all cheap brands passed off a s better quality. Entertainment was a joke complete rubbish the best night we had was Bingo. The whole complex is run down and I cant decide if the current owners are developing the complex or running it down. We had our towels stolen from the front of our apartment the staff did not care one bit. We had to be out our room by 12 midday but did not fly until 21.30 that night. Staff informed me that we could put our cas in the case room and that we can use a vacant room to shower and change in. the case room was the wall outside reception and no room was provided for people leaving later people had to use the public toliets to wash and change. Faro is a 20min walk away or a free shuttle bus ride. Beware guys passing themselves off as tourist information staff offering a free taxi trip to and from an Anfi Hotel you will see them as you walk down to the beach where the shuttle bus drops you off. These people are sending you to a time share hotel and will take 2 hours of you time to persuade you to buy into the hotel for 16,000 euros. Sunbeds on Faro beach cost 5 euros for 2 without the iumberella and a taxi trip back to the complex will cost 3.5 euros. Toilets behind the first aid station cost 50cents. look out for the guys selling fruit they will cut you a small slice to give you a taste then cut 2 slices of water mellon and charge you 8 euros, be strong and say NO. You can have a 30min camel ride for 12 euros just turn left when getting off the bus and walk up the road until you see the camels over the dry water bed. Gran Canaria is a lovely place but sadly this hotel was not, We wont ever be going back
