We chose this place after looking at tripadvisor and all the good reviews. We loved the bungalows and the grounds were so pretty. This is exactly the place we enjoy to stay in. It was perfect to have our own private place with patio to sit and enjoy a cup of tea or to relax on our sunbeds on the grass outside our accommodation. We went half board and the food was very good with plenty of choice as I am dairy free. There was plenty of drinks included at breakfast e.g. juice, tea and coffee, but you had to pay for drinks for the evening meal. There were two supermarkets within a few minutes walk to get the few items we needed for our lunch or drinks during the day. The on site mini-market also sold essential items but if you were self caterting you needed to go to the supermarket nearby for more choice. The staff were very good and could not do enough for you to help you have a good stay. The bungalow was cleaned every day, the towels changed every two days, and the sheets are changed once a week. We went on an island tour which took us to the rum factory and into the mountains and this was well worth doing as we also had a good lunch for 10 euros. The courier on this trip spoke many languages and was very amusing and informative about the island. We also went on a camel ride through the dunes for 12 euros each and it was a nice experience so highly recommended. There was no entertainment at this resort, but this is what we wanted as we like a quiet, relaxing holiday, reading a good book, drinking tea, and lying in the sun. You have to give 10 euros deposit for your key and remote for the TV (english channels rubbish) and we did not get this returned as it had disappeared when we asked for it back. The taxi transfer to the airport cost 42 euros (one way - Oct 2013) so if you can book it before you go for cheaper it is worth doing. My husband is 63 and I am 54 but there is a good mix of ages here so not all wrinklies. Check out is at 12noon, but as our flight was not until 8.45 in the evening, we stayed by the pool until 5.45 when we left for the airport.

Room Tip: All the bungalows appeared the same. Ours had the description "garden view" and looked on grassy side path, others look onto front path, but most had grass out front and sun most of the day.

Our second trip to the bungalows was a success (like the first ). The big attraction is that other guests appreciate the quiet. Noise pretty well shuts down at 10pm . We did more self catering than before which makes the holiday a real bargain. It is lovely to eat on your own terrace at 9pm on a warm evening...you could think you had the site to yourself. Do plan in advance if you want to see some of the island. Buses are reliable but car hire is cheap, too. Taxis to maspalomas or the relatvely rowdy Playa del Ingles.Courtesy bus to the beach is handy as it may be a half hour's walk. The pools and pool area are nice
A suoermarket and a few restaurants are a 20 min walk away at Faro 2 we ate there a few times. There is a chinese which does take away within 10 min .
Bungalows themselves are well designed, the staff are super ...the cleaners, the gardeners, the handymen, the reception even the lifeguard.
Half-board or all-inclusive may be available but we think you miss a lot of you opt for these.

We have just returned from here after a 2 week stay. The accommodation is lovely, but the place is out of the way.
If your looking for a lively resort with lots going on and plenty of entertainment in the evenings this is definitely NOT the place to go. !
We can't fault the staff, they work extremely hard from breakfast (buffet style) to looking after you around the pool and serving lunches (cooked to order) and then in the dinning room in the evening while dinner is served buffet style.
The 2 complaints we had is even though we were all inclusive, the bar shut at 11pm with no option to be able to buy any more drinks. The other complaint is that your rooms are vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure and so does the catering unless you buy it. There wasn't any facilities to have a shower either and I think that matter should be addressed.
The weather was good as expected but we did have 3 days when it rained and a couple of cloudy days but still warmer than we would have had in the UK.
We enjoyed our time, but I cant see us going back there as we like it to be more lively.

Room Tip: It wont matter where your bungalow is as its all very quiet

really difficult to criticise these lovely little bungalows considering the price we paid(via lowcostholidays.com).they were without doubt one of the cleanest well maintained places we have stayed in at any price.both the bungalows and garden areas were absolutely spotless.congratulations to both management and staff for maintaining such high standards.staff were all very friendly and helpful, right from reception through to the maintenance/gardener guys. the bungalows themselves are quite compact but fine for 2 adults plus child.kitchen area was a bit tight but with only minimal cooking facilities(2x electric rings) i suspect most people would'nt be attempting anything to ambitious. good sized bedroom with double and single bed(nice firm beds)and adequate storage/wardrobe space.decent bathroom with good shower. we were self catering but apart from a lunchtime snack we did'nt try the onsite restaurant so cant really pass comment.a lot of clients were staying on an all inclusive basis and to be honest we did'nt hear anybody complaining..location wise the complex is in a quiet residential sort of area with not much going on within comfortable walking distance. We had a car so no problem but without one you would need to rely on taxis to get you out and about..there are still a couple of restaurants/bars and a good supermarket about a ten minute walk away at the almost defunct Faro 2 commercial centre but for a better choice you would need to get transport to either the infamous Yumbo centre or Cita centre.if you want a good steak go to the Savoy restaurant on the upper floor of Cita.went 3times during our holiday, always good and excellent friendly service. all in all very satisfied with our stay at bungalows club maspalomas.would recommend to anyone wanting good quality accomodation in a quiet location at a budget price.
p.s having read other revues i cansay that in 2 weeks i saw one small cockroach and a few of the smallest ant type things i have ever seen.

Room Tip: away from the pool area quieter and slightly better for privacy but in all honesty being single storey in garden setting it really would'nt matter a great deal.
