“Brilliant Budget Bungalows”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2013

really difficult to criticise these lovely little bungalows considering the price we paid(via lowcostholidays.com).they were without doubt one of the cleanest well maintained places we have stayed in at any price.both the bungalows and garden areas were absolutely spotless.congratulations to both management and staff for maintaining such high standards.staff were all very friendly and helpful, right from reception through to the maintenance/gardener guys. the bungalows themselves are quite compact but fine for 2 adults plus child.kitchen area was a bit tight but with only minimal cooking facilities(2x electric rings) i suspect most people would'nt be attempting anything to ambitious. good sized bedroom with double and single bed(nice firm beds)and adequate storage/wardrobe space.decent bathroom with good shower. we were self catering but apart from a lunchtime snack we did'nt try the onsite restaurant so cant really pass comment.a lot of clients were staying on an all inclusive basis and to be honest we did'nt hear anybody complaining..location wise the complex is in a quiet residential sort of area with not much going on within comfortable walking distance. We had a car so no problem but without one you would need to rely on taxis to get you out and about..there are still a couple of restaurants/bars and a good supermarket about a ten minute walk away at the almost defunct Faro 2 commercial centre but for a better choice you would need to get transport to either the infamous Yumbo centre or Cita centre.if you want a good steak go to the Savoy restaurant on the upper floor of Cita.went 3times during our holiday, always good and excellent friendly service. all in all very satisfied with our stay at bungalows club maspalomas.would recommend to anyone wanting good quality accomodation in a quiet location at a budget price.
p.s having read other revues i cansay that in 2 weeks i saw one small cockroach and a few of the smallest ant type things i have ever seen.

Room Tip: away from the pool area quieter and slightly better for privacy but in all honesty being single stor...

We stayed in this predominantly Spanish place for 11 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. The accommodation was good but small for a family of four. We paid extra for air conditioning but this meant that all four of us had to sleep in the single bedroom which led to noisy nights! The breakfast was pretty good with a guy cooking omelettes/pancakes every other day. We were lucky enough to have a bungalow that was perfectly situated for the sunset and was also set back from the path so we had good privacy. The outside area was lovely. The staff were helpful, especially a lovely lady called Vanessa who told us about a couple of places to eat outside Maspalomas (which was very expensive!)

Room Tip: Away from the pool is quieter

We recently returned back from the bungalows and we could not fault it. The customer service is outstanding and Letitia who was on reception was so helpful as well as all the other staff. The bungalows are clean and we booked our holiday through Media Travel and the air conditioning was included. The supermarket they offer at this location is well priced and stocks your essentials. We were self catering and to be honest were very surprised how cheap it was to eat out and ending up going out every night and having just snacks.

You can take a stroll to the beach which is about a 40 minute walk or alternatively there are two free buses outside the bungalows at 9.30 and 10.30. It is a great base to explore and the buses are not that far away. Puerto Mogan is definitely worth a visit and if you go by taxi it will cost around £30 or by bus £6 for 2 adults one way. Such a pretty place with great restaurants. Adores beach club just before Mogan is also worth a visit if you fancy a relaxing day. You can hire Bali beds and use their sea water pool and be waitered on all day with lovely refreshing drinks and good food and then you are billed at the end - great day if you fancy chilling and a bit of luxury.

Room Tip: just when you book make sure whether your booking includes air con because otherwise you will have t...

Pros: great grounds, pools, tennis, good bar food, clean and well equipped rooms, good fellow clientele, free beach bus, free wifi in reception
Cons: bungalows on small side (but ok for 3), restaurant bit pricey, location bit remote

Maspolomas itself is great, not like the high rise resort hotels - it's largely bungalows, all pretty quiet. This does mean there aren't loads of restaurants on your doorstep but this isn't a bad thing. Nearby is an almost deserted shopping centre, but there is a decent supermarket and an excellent restaurant, El Nublo. Kids will enjoy the usual water park, zoo etc. Some amazing beaches can be found if you explore a bit too.

Bungalow was small for two female adults plus a 9 year old child but quite adequate for our needs. The bungalows do not have a/c though a unit is installed in the bedroom. Bedroom has a double bed plus single bed, luxury is a ceiling fan. I slept in the living area on the sofa bed which proved to be rather hot it would have been nice to be able to hire a fan for that area. Immaculate grounds, pools, reception, toilets, bar. No loud music blasting out in pool area nice to sunbathe with own music from iphone. Really relaxing accommodation. Bungalow equipped with 2 ring electric hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, cups & saucers, plates, glasses, cutlery, chopping board, utensils. Staff very friendly, reception staff very helpful although we did have to ask them for map of the area. Basically could not fault anything about the place. No sign of any cockroaches, mosquitos or ants. Short 10 min walk from Faro 2 Shopping Centre for supermarket and excellent restaurants. (El Nublo Steakhouse fabulous restaurant at Faro 2 massive delicious portions reasonably priced!) Short walking distance of amusements, lots of fun for a 9 year old. Would certainly recommend the bungalows it was absolutely great.

Just come back from club maspalomas bungalows I spent 10 nights there with my boyfriend.
It was a fantastic place and will definitely be back next year. The rooms were just what we needed with a kettle, toaster, fridge ect....there is a ceiling fan in the bedroom which was sufficient for us but there is also air con which costs 45euro a week. We payed for wifi for our room which was only 20euro a week.
The grounds were kept clean and were just stunning. The staff at reception were brilliant, they gave us a detailed map of the area and told us how to get places which was really helpful.
We didn't use the free bus as we walked down to the front most days, it was a 25 min slow walk down past some nice hotels. Taxis back were only 3.15 and were really Easy to find.
There is a lovely restaurant in the faro 2 shopping centre called El Nublo don't be put off by the surroundings as most of the shops have closed down its a brilliant place the food was lovely and a good price. We ate there 3 times! There is also a supermarket in faro 2 and only a 5min walk.
Would recommend this place to stay to anyone!

Just got back from a week with my boyfriend at club Maspalomas bungalows. The place was immaculate and all finishings were to a great standard. Maid service was very good and they even did my washing up while i was out enjoying the sun! The shower was nice and powerful....just read a review that said ants and cockroaches in the bathroom...well it's super hot out there and bugs thrive in the heat and find their way in! The whole time we were there i saw 1 cockroach in the apartment and a few ants on the shower wall (they scarpered the minute i turned the shower on). The pool, sun loungers, pool toilets etc were really clean. We ate in the restaurant on our last night and wished we had taken the chance to eat there a few more times. The food was very nice (I'm vegetarian) and seemed to offer plenty of variety. The staff were friendly (not overly but certainly helpful and not rude). The odd german guest was a little new to the concept of queuing! The nudey beach was okay (you gotta try things once!) The sand was so hot on the beach we didn't move once we got our sunbed and umbrella tho! The sea was nice but very rough....my boyfriend laughed when i complained that the sea was very loud! We went to Playa del Ingles most nights for the bars and entertainment...after a few cocktails we were singing along to the Spanish and German singing acts, and loving it. On the first night a guy took an impromtu Zumba class on the walk way and was fantastic and soooo entertaining. All in all a good holiday with no major downsides. The hotel got quiet at night with no entertainment....so be prepared to go out on the evenings when you want a bit of live music etc. Oh the only real downside was that to get to any shops/ restaurants/ entertainment we had to get a taxi....cheap enough, but i got a wee bit sick of all the driving after the plane and coach travel to get there....Enjoy!
