This was our third year running at this hotel, so obviously we like it, First the positives. On entering the hotel you cannot help but be impressed by the superb reception area, very large, light and airy. Plenty of bars, on the whole the staff at the hotel are friendly I think some of the ones that appear unfriendly just don't speak good English so they don't get into conversations with the guests. Outside the grounds are beautifully landscaped with lots of pools manmade beach and far more sun loungers than there are guests, so they are never a problem. The food is of a good standard with regular hygiene checks from knowledgeable staff who keep an eye on how long the food has been out and replace it regularly, so good understanding of food hygiene, in fact the only place outside of the UK where we will eat fish and shellfish and never had a problem. Rooms are of a good size, clean but not immaculate.

Negatives....The most uncomfortable beds I've not slept in with the rock hard pillows if anybody managed to get to sleep in one please tell me the secret....Fridges in the rooms are turned on and working so this is not a power saving thing it's a petty minded management thing as you have to pay 24 euros for the key to the fridge door for two weeks, same thing with the safe in the room.......the Wi-Fi is locked so you have to pay 6 euros a day to use it, now come on Tabaiba all inclusive or not.....Whilst the food is of good quality it is repetitious and two weeks of it is more than enough, Possibly my biggest gripe is queuing to get into the restaurant in the evenings when half the tables in the restaurant were not being used on the orders of the management, when I complained about this I was told the restaurant staff couldn't do anything about the unused tables, as far as entertainment is concerned definitely 2* that has gone downhill also finishing at 10.40pm far too early for a holiday resort, out of 14 nights there were three evenings of decent entertainment the rest seemed to be men dressed as women, people miming to famous acts pretending to be Celine Dion etc. lots of dancing around on stage that is too small to dance on, all in all as exciting as a karaoke night down the pub.

One thing I would love to see there, would be parasols supplied for the sunbeds as there is very little shade and it gets far too hot to lay in the full sun for hours apart from being a health hazard, I think this would greatly add to peoples enjoyment of the sun bathing area's it wouldn't cost much and make such a difference.

Returned home on Saturday after a week AI at the Tabaiba Princess. We had a lovely time in a hotel that is absolutely spotlessly clean with a great restaurant serving fabulous food. The staff were on the whole really friendly especially the reception colleagues who without exception couldn't do enough for you. I notice that some previous reviewers complained about the quality of the drinks. Well we were perfectly satisfied with both taste and quantity. The pool area is fantastic though I do agree that the man made beach is absolutely dreadful with "sand" that is torturous on your feet. The entertainment was a little bit hit and miss (but who cares you're on your holidays) and things do close down quite early (last bar shuts bang on midnight). Piano bar was our personal favourite. The room was both spacious and like everywhere else in the hotel spotless. Unlike some other reviewers we had no problems with the air con and a comfortable temperature was sustained throughout. This was brilliant considering how hot it was outside. The local area was fantastic with the Maspalomas sand dunes and Melonares a short walk away with some great shops and bars. If you get a chance visit Paddys Bar on the beach front at Melonares. Small and very friendly. One small whinge was the lack of free wi fi. It does seem like a cheapskate way of fleecing some extra cash out of guests. One tip I would give. Take taxis not buses. They are cheap as chips. Overall a fabulous holiday in a lovely hotel. Would we return......definitely !!!!!

Stayed at this hotel 1st of june for 1 week. Everything was perfect, cant understand the bad reviews for the food. I am a very fussy eater and I found the food amazing, always hot and a such a varied selection, fish, steak, chicken and even chicken nuggets if you fancied them. The show cooking was also good, always eatting to much especially the puddings. Stayed at several all inclusive in the past and this has to be the best so far. My room overlooked the Dunes, which I would recommend as the views were fab. TV was also good, had several english channels, and sky news which was nice for an hr after being by the beach/pool all day. The beach is a 25min walk, which I did most days as it was a lovely walk. Lighthouse shopping area is a bit scruffy but didnt go there to shop.
Pool is lovely, im 6ft 6 and couldnt standup, so deep in places, loads of sunbeds, more beds than people so the rep told me. Pool side bar is just for snacks, hot dogs and cakes.
Piano bar is also good, sat there most evenings chatting with the bar staff.
Bar and clubs are a 10 min taxi ride if you need those.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the Dunes are very private and peaceful.

Just got back from a week all inclusive at the Tabaiba, and what a brilliant holiday it was.

The staff were really friendly, and as helpful as possible, that goes for the staff in the shops there as well as the clearners at reception. The reception and shop staff all speak good English, and we had to deal with them a lot as we had a problem with our room key in the first couple of days. Our own fault for wiping it with electonics I will just mention! Bar staff get to know you personally, and cleaners always said hello in passing.

The food is very good, although we don't eat sea food so the food in the resaurant was limited for us. There was one paricularly rude member of staff in the restaurant. We didn't have spoons laid out for ice cream, and couldn't find any near where the ice cream was served, so helped ourselves to what turned out to be a soup spoon from near by. However this clearly annoyed this member of staff who came up to us waving smaller spoons in our face and took the larger ones out our hands without a single word to us.

The facilities are amazing, and so clean too. Seen a couple of reviews where people are complainging about the cats using the artifical beach as a litter tray. I saw this only once, and it was cleaned up by staff within a matter of minutes when they were made aware.

The location is good, a few minutes walk to various local attractions. We visited a few other towns on the island on excursions, and have to say Maspalomas was a lot quieter and we preferred this!

Really happy with our stay, will definitely be going again.

Room Tip: We had room 241, this was on the ground floor, and was exactly in the middle of the corridor between a door leading to the pool and mini golf, and the piano bar and reception. Excellent balcony views too!
