We stayed as a couple in this hotel from 4th Feb and in our opinion the hotel is spotless and the rooms comfy and clean the food is better than you would expect and the staff are friendly
The hotel was very busy and there was a lot of disruptive children but you can't blame the hotel for that!
The pool area has a lot of potential but to be honest is a bit naff, there's not enough room around the pool for everyone so we resorted to the beach - which was much more peaceful
When we did sit around the pool area all we could smell is greasy food being fried which wasn't great
The rooms are good but most are overlooked - our room had no door nets so for privacy we had to keep our curtains closed all of the time as we were overlooked by 12 other rooms who were just a stones throw away
We used the gym a couple of times the equipment is very old and some machines don't work so a poor excuse for a gym!
The entertainment was also naff - i personally don't agree with live animals being used in shows to entertain the public. Owls snakes and parrots all being used for cheap entertainment purposes. Out of date and a poor excuse for entertainment also the Elvis tribute is not worth watching and the only act that was worth seeing was the drag act who was doing all he could to interact with the crowd and have a laugh!
Overall a nice hotel with good food, will we return ......................probably not!

Myself and my wife stayed here from 12th to 19 Jan and the Hotel was impressive with a grand entrance and reception area. The room was very clean and large enough and we found no problems with the beds (some people say they are hard) with a decent balcony . The food was excelent especially if you like fish all different daily and cooked to perfection along with steaks lamb chops and stews and the wife said the deserts were to die for. In the resturant you serve yourself with drinks and the draught beer is Estrella and very good, you have white/red/and rose wine on tap and this is also palatable, the coffee from the machines is also very good but a word of warning if you like wine DO NOT have any from the bar it is not on tap it is bottled and is undrinkable.. I was not happy that you have to pay for bottles of water and if you want a proper coffee at the bar this is also extra, there is a fridge in your room (locked) and if you want to use it you have to pay so not exactley all inclusive, but on saying that we had a fantastic week with brilliant weather and we would go back again, if you want to get out and about use the taxi`s at the hotel average about 4euros to go to playa del ingles or yumbo centre and always taxis back very easy

We have just returned from our second visit to the Tabaiba Princess and found thet the experience was as enjoyable as the first a year ago.
The weather was oustanding and we did not see a cloud until the last day and that was only a herringbone pattern for about an hour. The temperature went from 21deg. in the morning to 27deg. later which was a great bonus after suffering extreme conditions at home for the previous week.
The rooms are a delight and the food varied and top quality, having to be careful not to over-indulge! The bar facilities are excellent and open at most times and the staff in both the dining room and bars were very friendly and always helpful.
Our only criticism would be the standard of entertainment in the theatre area which was a bit amateur but one could take it or leave it and always enjoy the pianist in the piano bar.
Altogether another great week spent in the sunshine with lovely walks to the beach (part nudist) and along the prominade which had nice up-market shops if that was your thing.

Room Tip: The third floor facing the pool area catches the sunset and is not affected by noise.

me and my hubby arrived on New years eve, for a week,On arrival at 4.15pm, we were informed we were on te 6pm sitting of the gala dinner, of which we should have worn a jacket and tie, but should ave been informed at booking really.... It wasn't a problem. The gala dinner was stunning. this hotel is now all inclusive. The hotel is spotless, although the spa area between the pools need of a little attention, We love Gran Canaria, and would be happy to return again..... It represents excellent value for money

Just returned from a relaxing week at the Tabaiba Princess 14th 21st January we booked this holiday at short notice and it certainly exceeded our expections in every respect The hotel has a impressive reception area with helpfull and friendly staff. We were given a first floor room which was very spacious imaculately clean with maid service every day and beautifully furnished We asked for extra pillows on the first day which were delivered immediately. small balcony which didnt really get any sun but it wasnt a problem. Good selection of food at breakfast and evening meal and snacks available all day.Huge pool area with massage centre, sauna etc plenty of bars for drinks throughout the day and night.Pool area also has a man made beach and yes people do get up early to reserve sun loungers but there are still plenty to be had even if you are not a early riser !

We booked this holiday looking for a relaxing week in the sunshine and that's exactly what we got. We are well travelled and have high expectations but we have no complaints about the Princess Tabaiba.
Our room was at the end of the 2nd floor over looking the pool. The balcony didnt get any sunshine but it was very pleasant to sit out on and look out to the beautiful pool area. The room was a good size and was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The bed was a bit hard for my liking but I actually got quite used to it as the week went on. I asked for more pillows on the first morning and these were delivered promptly to the room.
As mentioned the pool area is lovely; we're not sunbed people so I won't go into the towels reserving sunbed debacle but we did have a giggle at everyone rushing out first thing in the morning!
The food was excellent; my husband admits to being a bit fussy and he always found something to eat. There was a large salad selction, 3 hot food selections and 2 grill choices each evening plus all the vegetable and side accompaniments. My only criticism might be that it would have been good to have name tags beside all the dishes as sometimes it was hard to tell what was what! We had no issue over the self service drinks. This meant you could have what you want when you wanted.
We didnt go to the main show room so I cant comment on the entertainment but we did go to the piano bar and enjoyed the 'Strictly Coming Dancing' displays! Again it was easy to get drinks and if anything the spirits were too strong certainly not watered down in our opinion!
We had a walk down to the front and it took around 25minutes walking very slowly taking it all in. We enjoyed the walk along to Melanores and then we got a taxi back which cost about EUR3.
We also took a taxi into Yumba at Playa de Ingles to breakup the week. We had a chinese buffet meal and 2 drinks each for EUR26 - bargain. The taxi each way cost EUR4.
On the Friday we took the tour from Thomsons to Mogan which was a really enjoyable morning out. The coach took us to Puerto Rico where we took a boat to Mogan then we had 2.5 hours to look about and then a half hour journey back to the hotel. Mogan was very pretty and we enjoyed looking round the market.
So overall a fab holiday. We would recommend the hotel and would love to go back again.
