“go, and try it for yourselves, you'll enjoy!!!”
Reviewed October 12, 2010

We've literally just come home from the turbo club and after reading back through these reviews I really can't understand why these people can say these things! We had a ground floor bungalow right next door to the kids club which at first I thought would be a problem but we didn't hear anything, and this came in handy when our youngest ( aged 9) went to kids club and we didn't see her one day from about 10 in the morning till 6 in the afternooon!!! I've always said that I wouldn't put my children in kids clubs as i think a holiday should be for families to be together but she really enjoyed and they are so looked after and safe. It was great cause she was'nt complaining to us that she was bored. The girls worked really hard with them and my meg is really missing lydia!!! They taught her some spanish card games which I thought was a nice touch, and had them dancing in the jacussi to chi-chi -waa, and "she's moving like a rock star"If the kids are happy- the parents can relax!!! Though these songs are really catchy!!!! But wish I could hear them now!!! They played basket ball, table tennis-which she one a competition in!!!! Also they had darts tournaments and in the afternoon they had water polo for the adults which was highly amusing- think the adults were more competetive than the kids!!! lol! Can't fault the kids club and entertainment in the day at all. Our room was fine, it was spottlesly clean,a good position, ideal really, another thing i can't fault. The maids work really hard and our room was always spotless after they had been in, and they always said hello when they see you. Yes, we did have 2 cockroaches in our room but they were dead!!! if you are in a hot country you can expect to see these fellows about the place though, i wiuld say it's nothing to be worried about. The food at the hotel is fine too,.Don't know why so many paople are complaing. My oldest daughter (11) is a really fussy eater and there was always something there for her to eat. The food was hot and varied each day. Lunch did tend to be a bit better than the evening but all in all I can't fault it. The cakes in the afternoon were fab. Also they weren't too strict about you making rolls up to go down beach or day trips. Drinks were fine, sangria was lovely and really toke to the "white russians" by the pool- lovely!!! The waitresses work damn hard and I don't think enough credit is given to them. I don't think they are miserable at all, just tired, they're doing the same thing endlesly every day!!! think i wouldn't be smiling either!!! One of the waitresses got up one evening and joined in the kids disco- so how can people say that they are misserable????? The location was ok, yes, you do have to get taxis to the local amusements or shops but they are only around 3-4 euros , which is nothing< holiady world is litterally a 10 min walk away. Went to aqualand which was fab!!! a really good day out worth going, taxi was about 4 euros ther and another 4 back. Basically, We can't fault this hotel, staff were great, food was great, dirnks were great. The kids were happy, We met some lovely people. Rebekah( my oldest) made friend with 2 lovely scottish girls, Megan and Charlie- lovely family and I think that made her holiday< she missed them loads when they went though!! Would highly recomend the YUMBO centre< loads of shops and the market which is behind the complex (on the main road- cut through the wasteland at the front by reception) the market is on WED( i think) and Sat morning, loads stalls. Basically, you get what you pay for and i think this exceeds that .we are very happy and would love to come back her next year!!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Turbo Club 3rd - 10th October and enjoyed every minute of it. Yes, we agreed with a few of the criticisms but anybody who takes a cheap last minute bargain expects them. If you paid the full whack, fair enough. The entertainment team worked their socks off but I suspect with a very limited budget. The food wasn't five star but was plentiful and in the main, very nice. You will only find the choice boring if you take a bit of everything at each sitting, instead of trying different things as the holiday progresses. The alcohol was a good average selection. We thought the lager was excellent and did the business. Spirits weren't on the strong side but still strong enough for everyone to have a good time on. Bar staff/kitchen staff worked hard but some people are just impossible to please. Apartments were large, more than enough for us as we were only two. They were clean, fridge was a boon and the teamaking facilities. We, like other reviewers made good friends (Hi, Elaine and Gary) and had a bloomin good time all round. A certain rendition of 'Two Little Boys' is now etched on my memory for life !! Take no notice of the bad reviews, go with an open mind and enjoy !! Sparkles in the Yumbo centre is a must see for an evening out.

We Stayed at this hotel 24 Sept - 01 Oct the hotel it self is in a rather quite area but this is no problem as you can get a taxi into the next town for just over a few euros. The rooms are apartments which is always a bonus to have more room than just a bed and bathroom! these were very clean, the staff at the hotel work very hard! There were plenty of sunbeds available around the big pooleven at midday!
During meal times the pool bar is closed so drinks are available in the Dining room where you can help yourself (which is eiher a bonus or pain for some people depending on the person!)
Food was what you expect for an all inclusive yes there was chips nearly every meal.
Overall- if you want a relaxing time in the sun I would recommend this hotel.and at the end of the day it is your holiday and its what you make of i!!!!!!!

Hotel was quite nice for the time of year we went, not too busy, clean and room was very large and comfortable (except for the lack of air conditioning which made the nights quite uncomfortable).

Food was shockingly bad. Breakfast consisted of congealed poached eggs that had to be sliced, disgusting sausages and cold beans. No full english option. Lunch seemed to be the previous evenings left overs, re-cooked and branded as something else and dinner in the evening was a choice of two meats or fish. And chips! One night the food was so inedible we had to eat out.

The all-inclusive option is a bit of a nonsense. The bar is only open from 10am - 12pm and then closes, at which time you are expected to help yourself to drinks at the restaurant (just beer or wine, no spirits). Not good if you don't do lunch until later yet are still thirsty! Also the beer tasted like lemonade and must have been about 1% proof.

Didn't take kids which was lucky, as the evening entertainment consisted of a rep dancing on her own for 20 mins on stage and expecting the bemuzed kids to follow suit. Oh, and apparantly we were told that the night before there had been a man with a few snakes, for 20 mins, followed by an hour of trying to tempt people to pay for photographs.

The hotel is about a 10 min walk from holiday world (Blackpool in a building) and 15 mins from the shopping centre, half of which has been closed down for refurbishment. A taxi ride is needed into Playa del Ingles for any sort of nightlife, restaurants, bars etc.

Hotel itself was great. It was clean, not too noisy and the pool was lovely. Add some air conditioning and a total re-vamp of the disappointing restaurant, plonk the whole thing in a lively town and it would get five stars from me :-)

12/09/10 to 19/09/10
Cheap and cheerful all inclusive. Very under staffed. They all work very hard. Could tell by the whole of Maspalomas not as busy like other years. Restaurants very quiet and bars. Even some bars at Yumbos Empty.
We have been to the Turbo Club before 3 years ago and it is still the same. Clean, Polite Staff, Rooms very nice. Cleaned twice in our week. Clean Pool to deep for me, i cannot swim only one small part of the pool at one end i could go in lol. We had a pool View and we watched them clean the pool and the surrounding area every day. It was spotless untill the lazy English left dirty cups, glasses, Fag butts and even dirty nappies on their sun loungers instead of putting them in the bins provided. Me and my hubby could'nt believe the mess the English make and even on arrival on the plane some people left their seating area like a pigsty. Makes me Embarrassed to be English.
We found something to eat every meal time everyday. Drinks are ok also, the lager is'nt watered down and the spirits are ok to, but they had run out of Bailey's :(
Yes the Beach is a 45 min walk but we like to walk and there is a beach bus which we used. And taxi's are cheap 3 to 4 euros.
Yes i would go again. I would not pay 5 star Prices just to lay my head down at night, we love the beach to much, and we did stay by the pool some times.
Yes we did get what we paid for and remember You Don't Get A Rolls Royce For The Price of A Mini.

went 17th sep with girlfriend wasnt as bad as people make out on here nice and clean the staff are ok they may get a bit moody but they dont take it out on you an to be fair the staff are working very long hours every day . the alchol you will never get drunk of the lager its watered down to death the vodka is 25 per cent so enough and you will be drunk i would suggest buying your own bottle of coke or lemonade as even the coke and lemonade from the bar seem very sickly food wise if your not fussy its ok for you but as i am very fussy most days i was having ice cream for my tea as i couldnt bring my self to eat the food thewy do alot of fish not alot of chicken dont really cater for children the pools pretty deep so arm bands for kids that dont swim is a must entertainment is not bad but come half 11 the bar closes and if your even the slightest bit loud the reception run out telling you to shut up and be quiet yes this is at half 11 its literally 5 mins to holiday world not a bad walk really yumbo centres 3.50 in a taxi cant argue with that personally id pay more next time and go to a better hotel as ive come home lost a stone in weight as i cudnt stand the food that much but as i say although my comments are bad here its not as bad as some people make out on here you get what you pay for also while im on here the food is set times which i didnt like because i like to eat when i want to eat
