“Realise What You Pay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2013

Having read varying posts on this before we departed I was wondering what to expect.

It all depends what you want from a holiday. If you want somewhere clean, quiet and away from it all then this place is ideal.
If you want some entertainment and nightlife amongst it all then this place is not for you.

The bungalows are ideal, very clean, very quiet with surprisingly comfortable beds and your own terrace with 2 sun beds, a table and numerous chairs. Yes there are extras, 6 euros a day for air con which we needed even in November and 2.20 Euros for the safe, which is huge.
The whole complex area with the gardens is very pretty.

The complex is quite remote with very few shops or amenities close by. This did not bother us as were all inclusive so did not have to go to the supermarket all the time. If you go self catering this could be a problem as the nearest shopping centre Faro 2 is only 10 minutes walk away but is mainly all closed down.

You can walk to the Amusements in 10 minutes, Maspalomas front in 20 minutes and the Yumbo Centre in 30 minutes.
The hotel also provides a daily bus to Maspalomas and Playa Del Ingles.

All the staff are friendly and work very hard and nothing is too much trouble. The clients are mainly Swedes, Finns, Norwegians and Danes with a few Germans and Brits.

Yes the All Inclusive drinks are not very strong, but they never are anywhere else, unless you pay for it, but I have to say we enjoyed the beer, red wine and the local bacardi.
There is not much choice of food at dinner although there was at breakfast but what there is is edible and we were always satisfied. You have to realise that they cater for all boards and it is not an exclusive all inclusive establishment. And here is my point.
If you are fed well, treated well and your accommodation is clean and well cared for then looking at the price we paid for a few days sun in November we were well pleased.

Arrived canary garden club 17th October for a week. Me, the wife and our son 6. All seemed nice, room nice, complex nice pools nice ( but cold).. As we went all inclusive was disappointed with the alcohol being watered down a lot, and most of the food being catered for Germans and not so much the English. If not for making very good friends with another family would have been very boring at night as it is a bit out the way from the main areas. A good half hours walk to the beach. Summed up, not for family, more a retirement village.

Stayed here for 2 weeks beginning of October, we went self catering so can't comment on the food. Bungalow was excellent and more than big enough for the 2 of us, didn't have to pay for tv, kettle or toaster. We asked for a room change first night which was no bother we moved straight away.
Everywhere was very clean, room cleaned daily and towels changed every other day. We walked to the beach most days and also to playa d ingles.
Complex is very quiet we went out every night, moonlight bar was awesome!
We will be going back next year.

We stayed at the bungalows from oct 19th till 26th and we liked it some people put it down, but we were happy they were very clean the towels were changed every two days but the maid would come and clean the bathroom and mop the floors but never changed the bed for a week.
anyway the food was ok there was always something you could eat for breakfast and dinner you would never starve, the best meal was lunch where you ordered from a menu beside the pool the staff were run off there feet but were still pleasant the down side was there was no entertainment and the bar closed at 11 pm but you could always drink your duty free on the patio at the bungalow.
there is a free bus service and you can go to the yumbo centre in a taxi for 4$ that is where the entertainment is, on site there is a tennis court, a park for the kids, table tennis and 3 pools
theres a but to maspalomas and player mogen and if you want to walk there are plenty of places if you are active all in all we enjoyed it nice and quite for us seniors.

Room Tip: we were in no 6-1 had the sun all day near to the dining room and pools

We stayed from the 19th of octorber unil the 26th oct, All Inclusive
Weather was fantastic 35degree bungalows were well maintained and clean, the towels were changed every other day and the beds were never changed or made throw out our stay..... Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times, we had to put down a deposit for the air con remote and safe key in which we got back when we checked out. Food was bad only the lunch time menu from the pool bar was the best, breakfast was a buffet as well as the dinner , food wasnt replemished as often , the chef was using the same tongs for the raw meat as well as the cooked meat on the grill. overall food bad..
If your looking for a hotel with entertainment dont bother booking as there have none we travelled into playa de ingles to the yumbo centre which was a good nite out .......taxi cost 4 euros..
All in all, a very average week.

Room Tip: All bugalows are the same.

The hotel is good value for 3 stars. Very clean throughout. Staff friendly and extremely hardworking! Food is standard fair for this type of hotel but being able to order lunch from a menu makes a pleasant change. All in all, a very good week.

myself and my husband stayed here from 15th -22nd October and i booked this complex mainly due to the TA reviews. On arrival the receptionist was helpful however alarm bells rang when before even leaving the reception area, it had cost us 63 euros. Hire of beach towels 10 euro deposit each, safe 13.90 euros plus 10euros deposit, hairdryer another 10 euros plus the same in deposit etc etc and this is the first place i have ever stayed where u have to pay for air con. Sadly it got worse...... although the bungalows were basic, cleaners xame round 5 days out of 7 but our bed linen was not changed for the whole 7 days. cockroaches were a big problem here and 2 days after killing them in our apartment, they remained on our apartment floor so im not sure what the cleaners did in our apartment but they certainly did not clean. Food:- where do i start, cold scrambled egg, uncooked bacon, raw fried eggs or omelettes every other day when the chef decided to cook them. lunch was kind of ok if u like pizza everyday but u get bored of this by day 3 although, this was the only meal that was hot. Evening meal was by far the worst i have ever seen, therefore we ate out most nights. Drinks......
not much choice, flat coke, the spirits were watered down and the cocktails were nothing like i had ever sampled before. Entertainment - although on the beach advertises this compex as having entertainment there is none and i mean none. This complex is literally in the middle of nowhere so to get some entertainment u need to go to Playa de ingles. Irs onlt a 10minute taxi ride away and around 4 euros but if u have to do this every night than it can be expensive. Also.....there were very few english staying here as its clientele are mainly rude germans, arrogant russians, or scandinavian families. To sum up if u dont mind eating cold slop, drinking non existent alcoholic drinks, having no entertainment and cockroaches in your bungalows then this is the place to be. If you want edible food, clean sheets, alcoholic drinks and entertainment DO NOT BOOK THIS! All in all the worst place i have ever stayed.
