The hotel was quiet and would be too quiet for some. Entertainment was on Friday and Saturday night only.

The food was good with a selection that pleased all. The chef who cooked breakfasts was very friendly. Waiting staff were variable.

Rooms were clean and serviced daily. We did have a couple of cockroaches in the room during our stay but laying a towel across the bottom of the front door over night seemed to stop this.

The downsides which might affect some holidaymakers were unheated swimming pool, remote location, all inclusive bar closing at 11pm, and free wifi being limited to the lobby only.

We would go back, at the right price!

Room Tip: The bungalos directly overlooking the pool could be a bit noisy if you want pwace and quiet.

Just back from half-term week at Jardin Dorada. We had a great time!

Very quiet, no 'entertainment', no screaming families. Very pretty bungalows circling one pool (lots of sun beds), small buffet restaurant and pool-side bar. Perfect for people who want a stress-free, relaxed week in peaceful quiet setting. Great for families as well as older couples etc. All on one level (apart from 3 steps to restaurant) so great for small children/strollers or anyone with mobility issues. Free 10 minute bus to Maspolomas beach front (restaurants, shops etc) during the day - very reliable and convenient. 'Small hotel' leads to lovely community feeling with all children playing together on small slide/playground set, pool table etc in the evenings - regardless of age. Lovely inclusive atmosphere.

Pool is not heated, not even the toddler pool, and felt 'over chlorinated'. Hotel in area away from beach/shopping areas, so limited places to walk to from hotel itself, can feel isolated. Possibly not a good place for older teens - though there are cheap safe taxis (4 Euros each way) to bars etc in Maspolomas area in the evenings

Rooms are bright and well furnished, bathrooms neat and clean. Standard rooms are two push-together beds plus sitting area (with bar fridge and TV, (single on-wall air conditioning unit). Extra beds for children etc get added to this sitting area. Small seating area outside each bungalow. Food in restaurant provides a small buffet lunch and dinner with enough hot choices, plus salads, chips, ice cream and fresh fruit to keep everyone happy. Staff are all good - they really do appreciate it if you (and the kids) can bother to learn a few basic words in Spanish like Thank you, Hallo etc.

We spent a week here in May. The pool was very cold but the kids didn't seem to mind, boys aged 11 and 9. They were building an addition to the pool at the time, which looked to be finished soon. Food was fresh and a good variety, great buffet and also cooked to order. The bungalows were fine and cleaned every day with fresh towels. We paid for wi-fi but you can get free wi-fi near reception. It's not in walking distance to the beach or to a supermarket, but the free bus is great and on time. The dunes are a must see, beautiful. It did take a while to get served at the pool bar, we were told that it was 40% full when we were there, I would imagine that in peak it would be a bit of a pain. Most of the staff were great, just one that was really miserable. A week is probably long enough, it is remote. We had a good holiday and I'd recommend the hotel. As others have said though, it's a three star not a four.

Room Tip: The bungalows are arranged in a circle around the pool, if you have kids then choose one near the pool.

we stayed in these apartments from 21st may 2013 for a week.
the bungalows are lovley and clean and look really nice. its very modern not what you would expect for somewhere abroad.

there is a fridge a sofa another sofa bed and a big double bed (2 pushed together) the bungalows were cleaned every day with fresh towels loo roll bin bags etc..
as it was may the pool was a bit cold and they were refurbishing one part of this but this did not effect us.

the bar was good can get drinks all day and staff were very friendly. the food wasn't great but it never is abroad they have theme nights which is good as you have a choice and can try lots of different things. there wasn't any evening entertainment.

this hotel is more suited to couples I would say but there was families there and I would take my son there next year there is a small pool for children and a park by the restaurant and pool which is handy.

it is a very good location inbetween maspalomas and playa de ingles which in a taxi is no more than 4 euro to go to either of these places or you can get the free bus when you all inclusive, they give you the bus times.... maspalomas is beautiful with very good resturants and playa de ingles is more of the clubs/bars a nice sandy beach and water sports.
the taxis get to you within 3mins and you wont have to pay more than 5 euro to get anywhere.

great hotel and would return

Room Tip: we stayed in room 102 right next to reception and the restaurant/bar

We stayed here early May for a week. The thing that struck me was the hotel was very tranquil - not at all busy or hectic. There were no enforced entertainments (which is good for us) in fact the only distraction was low level chillout music or jazz. I really would recommend this place if you want somewhere quiet to read and relax by the pool. Even the kids who were there were pretty quiet...

The bar staff came round with cocktails occasionally to ensure we were hydrated. That's a nice touch!

The food and drink was much better than other all inclusives I have stayed at before in Gran Canaria. Tables always had clean cloths on too.

The journey from the hotel into town costs less than 5 euros by taxi (which magically appears in seconds, it seems) which is a very small price to pay for the distance from the built up, noisy part of town.

Beds comfortable, lots of hot water, rooms clean and the hotel generally cockroach free (personal paranoia!).
