Good: Nice grounds, fast check in-out, taxi comes in 2 minutes, lovely pool, very quiet and peaceful.
Bad: the food is not taken off the tables fast enough, so all the pigeons come to pick the leftovers. It is disgusting. And the gym is very rusty and old and very small. Horrible lighting around the bar area at the pool at night. They use one huge bright light that is blinding, very uninviting.

If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing break in pleasant surroundings with the sound of birdsong, this could be the perfect place for you. Bungalows all with their own well tended gardens, immaculately clean, and with friendly staff. Most obliging manager and a fairly reasonable choice of food although not always piping hot. Nice pool, bar and surroundings. Ideal for oldies, families looking for something fairly low key and young romantics. The only down side was that although there was a fridge provided, there were no tea making faciities, however these were quickly provided when we asked. We had a lovely break and would definitely go again.

We were a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews over December and January, after we had booked, especially as most of them had a lot of negative points. However, we have just returned from a great week at the Jardin Dorado, where we went all inclusive. We travelled with a couple of friends, and unfortunately the weather was not brilliant, but we did manage a couple of hourse sunshine most days. The free buses were a bonus, and we used them most mornings and came back by taxi, which were all very reasonable at around 4 euros. The rooms are a good size with a sofa and chairs, and a fridge. The bathrooms were spacious, and we managed to get 2 showers with hot water, one after the other, with no problems. The rooms were cleaned daily and we had fresh towels daily too. They were spotlessly clean, and on the odd occasion we could sit outside for a drink before dinner, the patio was ideal.
As far as grumpy staff go, yes they all worked very hard, but if you made the effort to speak to them, they were very pleasant, and we found them all very helpful and obliging. Bruno, Sebastian and Miguel looked after us very well. The chefs were always around, and the food was very varied so there is something for everyones taste. We have stayed at previous All Inclusive hotels, some being 5 star, and even there when it is a buffet system, the food is not piping hot. I do not think this hotel deserves some of the bad reviews I have read, and if the weather had been sunny and warm all the time, we would have had a 'perfect' week. This was not the hotels fault however. I would not hesitate to come back to this resort again.
The only negative point I would raise is about the coffee. At breakfast from the machines it is ok, but if you want coffee at lunchtime or indeed after dinner in the evening, on all inclusive tarriff, it is reheated from a jug and tastes stewed, and never hot enough. This is a minor point, but one that could be improved if the Management read these reviews, as we do enjoy our coffee.

6 days half board at the end of February, was suppose to be a winter sun getaway from cold British weather...
Advice on few fronts:
1.RATING: it is not a 4STAR hotel. I would give it 2.5.
2. SERVICE: language barrier (very basic English) can cause a havoc - bartender could not understand measures of "double and single" drinks
3.LOCAL INFORMATION : unless you ask for something specifically, you won't be told
4. SHOWER WATER (photos attached): each room has got 25 litre boiler which means only 5minute shower, the next person needs to wait for approx.15 mins before the water is warm (again-no info anywhere)
5. SAFE (photos attached): you have to pay "local charge" of 2.5€per day
6. THE POOL : doesn't seem to be heated at all and stray cats that beg for food around the restaurants drink from it
7. TERRACE (photo attached) : tiled area at the back of the house, a shelter from the wind rather than a place you want to have a drink at
8. RESTAURANT : varied food but predominantly English fried
9. BUFFET : not a wide range to choose from, burger-fries-pizza
10. BEDS (photo attached): plastic-foam camping style beds on metalic pipes. VERY uncomfortable
11. GOLF COURSE (photo attached) : next to it, mowing the grass at 8am with a very loud machinery.
12. FINAL BILL: be aware of VAT 7% and keep writing everything down from the buffet/dinner when half board- otherwise you'll get stung
13. MONEY VALUE : you should expect more for this price and "4stars"

Good for:
1. FREE WIFI :only by the reception, however refreshing every few minutes. If you want one in your room, extra charge.
2. FREE TRANSFER BUS: to Maspalomas beach and to Playa de Ingles. Only few times a day though, so write them down.
3. STAFF : few friendly people like Miguel Angel and Sebastian make this place bearable

Just returned from a one weeks stay here and have to say we had a really lovely time. It helped that the weather was perfect, but also our experience of the hotel, including the staff, was really positive. It may have helped that we had 4 young girls with us who were always smiling at the staff and practising their best ola's and grazias's on them in their best Essex accents, but we didn't have any negative reactions. Admittedly the staff seemed very busy and you did have to wait 5 minutes to get served at the bar, but being on holiday and not having any timescales this was not a big problem. The food was great - particularly the evening roast pork and the best crackling was on the menu! The rooms were clean and spacious and the fact that the evenings were very quiet was absolutely fine for us due to children trying to sleep. Pool was chilly but children still used it and the smaller side pools were a bit less cold and shallow enough to not have to worry about heads going under water. In fact we were so impressed we are definitely thinking about rebooking again next February. All in all a nearly perfect week :o)
