The specials change daily and are all chosen, prepared, served and explained with such transparent enthusiasm and joy that it just enthuses one to experiment. These guys really do love their job. Their enthusiasm and expertise is as impressive as the quality. Delighted to explain, in as much detail as you wish, every single ingredient, where it came from, why it was chosen, and precisely how it was prepared. An absolute joy to see people doing something they really enjoy, and doing it properly and with real love and passion. So depressing to see the rows of tourist-trap rubbish restaurants along the sea front when for the same price and a short walk back here you can experience proper food and be treated as a valued customer not a conveyor-belt tourist.
