“An abundance...”
Reviewed January 12, 2014

...of choices and flavours.
We discovered that restaurant while we were walking in Meloneras and we wanted to try something different we arranged to come for dinner. The service was brilliant, especially by our server who was very attentive and very helpful. My two friends tried the 17-course meal which included 17 small dishes with a lot of choices to try from with boiled and fried rice as side dishes. I had the chicken korma which was delicious. Unfortunately as we went in January and it rained the night before we couldn't sit outside as it was a bit cold. Nevertheless the food was gorgeous and its a great restaurant if you want to get away from eating Spanish tapas every night. The restaurant offers Indonesian tapas for anyone that wants to.

“Excellent starters, good mains”
Reviewed December 14, 2013

The service was attentive and friendly, though food arrived in batches rather than course - and the interval between starters and mains was rather short.

Starters: we had ribs, gyu zu's, tempura-style chicken, stir fried vegetables, spring rolls. Spring rolls - ordered another set immediately, as they were gone in seconds. Ribs were succulent, falling of the bone, amazing! (small, though, wasn't enough to share). Gyu za - (gyoza) was best best ever! Wok vegetables were ok and so was the chicken, but nothing special. For mains, we had three different curries - green Thai, indian Madras and Bali curry. They were quite good and delicious, though not memorable, and they used chicken fillets rather than thigh meat, so wouldn't exactly call it authentic. However, we'll be going back soon - it was well worth the money and bill for 4, including starters, mains, a bottle of wine, single glasses of wine and coffees came to about 110 euros (+ a tip). Well worth the money!

“A nice change”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

The Bali restaurant was very nice. Two of our party of give went for the Rijstaffel which was a selection of dishes all of which were cooked fresh. Don't both with the wine at this restaurant, go for the gin and tonics which are enormous and delicious.

“A little out of the way but worth looking for”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

Excellent Indonesian cuisine (somewhere between Thai and Indian) the restaurant is not on the seafront, it is on the road between the Varadero shopping centre )town end) and the bus station. Take the road into towwn from the lighthouse and turn left at the bus station and it is on the right hand side of the road
