“Authentic spanish restaurant in Maspalomas”
Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

This place gives a sense of authenticity, a rare feeling in Maspalomas! My wife had a simple roasted rabbit yet very tasty. I took a merluzza zarzuela style, presented in a very appealing way. We had started with morcilla with papaya jam and fried calamari with a coriander mojo, both Canarian rooted. Very warm welcome, the waiter recommended an excellent local wine (Volcan) of great value for money (16€) like the rest of the menu. The place is not as fancy as some guides say but it is much worth a visit. Come with a taxi or GPS as it is hard to find.

“Get away from the Strip food for e4!(taxi fare)”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

3adults 3 teenagers booked through hotel . Taxi up to it . Real Spanish people there easy to book first week in January. Friday night @8 bells.
Arrived table reserved, white table clothes and napkins ......always a good sign.
Great selection of food but the presentation on fabulous white quirky china was quite something.WE like our food and weren't disappointed here.
Super starters tastefully presented on these plates. Mains again presented in artistic form but quite a lot of food on plate. Took waiters recommendation for red wine but noticed other tables had NAvarra wine Arkansas? wine . Had that and it was super.
Highly recommended . bill for 6 was e180 which was great value in our eyes. TAxi ordered for us to return to strip. If you like good food visit here to get away for " THe Strip" top CLass.

PS I read the 1 terrible report below .....sounds like he should have chilled a little or stayed on the Strip !

“For sure one of the best restaurants on the island.”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

Yes, the place is not handy as it is a bit far from the center but going by taxi it costs max 4 euro from the Yumbo and definitely it is well worth it!
The food is excellent, the price adequate and most importantly the service is truly impeccable: professional, warm, discreet and multilingual.
Can't wait to go back!

“Fantastic modern Canarian restaurant!”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

I went to this restaurant to try modern Canarian cuisine in the last night of my holiday trip to Playa del Inglés. It was just fantastic! Excellent food quality and service while trying food from Gran Canaria! Tiny problem: the restaurant is not close to the centre of the town so you might need to get a taxi to go to it.... but taxis in Playa del Inglés are not pricey. Going from the Yumbo Centre to the restaurant was just 3,5 €.
