Despite being situated in the fairly derelict Faro 2 Centre, this is a gem of a place not to miss out on!
It can be found on the lower floor, just on the inside (go past the Dino supermarket, turn left and it is 2 restaurant in).
From arrival, you are made to feel so welcome and you are well looked after by Papa ‘Daniel’, Marco or another member of his fab staff. Drinks and menus are swift, the menu choice is plentiful as is the food itself.
We have been many times so can recommend most things but the Meat Paella is to die for! Beautifully cooked and more than enough for 2/3 to share.
Other favourites are any of the steaks or Fajitas.

The Canarian soup is delicious and worth a try (be warned the full size one is large)! This restaurant always give sample taster dishes to try as well- be careful not to over fill on these and ruin your appetite.

A large choice of drinks, the only thing they don’t seem to stock is squash/ cordial for the children.

Prices are not the cheapest but certainly not the most expensive- if you are like myself, you will be more than happy to pay for good quality food and service... you must visit, you will not be disappointed!

El Nublo in Faro2 Shopping Centre - after reading some of the positive reviews we thought we'd give this restaurant a go, having never visited this area before.

On arrival it was clear they were very busy, however we were seated quickly and met with a warm welcome. Orders were taken then our drinks arrived. However, we had to sit and look at our unopened bottle of wine for at least 10 mins before they came back and uncorked it.

We ordered some bread and garlic bread to start. After an hour wait, still nothing. Another 20 mins later, still nothing - being told "2 mins". Kids by now moaning obviously.

Another 20 mins later our mains and garlic bread finally arrived. Started tucking into my chicken kebab by now very hungry, then to my disgust to find it not cooked through... raw in the middle! Complained, they were extremely apologetic and took it away and a fresh one soon came. However by now I was a bit put off and no longer hungry. Food overall was very average and certainly not worth the wait!

Apart from the apology they didn't seem too concerned that they could've potentially ruined my holiday with food poisoning and happily took our money even trying to charge us for bread we never received!

In reflection should've gone next door to Broncemar II

Back at this gem of a place. Don't let the rundown shopping centre put you off having a fantastic meal.at the place. Every time we visit gran Canaria we always make sure we plan at least 1 night out here.. Excellent food and Danny and Marcos are great hosts.

We will be back again soon.

El Nublo is a lovely restaurant with traditional Canarian dishes and awesome hospitality by the owner family.

We have dined multiple times there and amazing food and service never changes.

Depending on what you order, you are welcomed with some free of charge appetizer anyway - we had Gran Canaria Soup for example which we also ordered later.

The main courses are huge portions and very very tasty.

We tried: Chicken Schnitzel, Pork Cordon blue - with french fries and salad - also the Chicken And Meat Paella

One of the best restaurants on the island!
