Stay At Stockholm Bromma
Reviewed May 16, 2013

Stayed here for two nights on business, our usual hotel was full as were most of the other hotels in Stockholm so we were put in the Stay At Bromma. I expected a proper Hotel when i arrived at 22:30 with the possibility of a drink and maybe some food but no bar and no restaurant and no shops except for a Statoil petrol station. I had an apartment with a kitchen and seperate living room which was ok and would have been fine had i expected self catering. Unfortunately my bedroom was right above the railway line and main road which even on the 10th floor was noisy, this made it impossible to leave the window open without being disturbed. The breakfast experience is not one i wih to experience again, there weren't enough tables or chairs for everyone, and it was a case of grab a space. The breakfast itself was terrible, i have no clue as to why there was a big kitchen as there was nothing cooked or fresh. Even the coffee was undirnkable. We returned for the second night at about 00:00 and the room had not been cleaned, apparently this is on top of the 1500 Nok/night we'd paid. The overall appearance of The Stay At is of a hostel in need of tlc. Not cheap and not good!

15 storied building with 2 elevators. One for 4 people and another for 8 so be patient to reach your room. Big rooms and kitchenette with a lot of kitchenware + microwave oven + coffee machine. No hair dryer in room you have to ask the receprtion to use and return. Breakfast in weekends doesn't include croissants and when fully booked you can be in the meeting room below breakfast dining room. NIce young and polite staff.

Myself and my colleagues travel a lot to Stockholm and my company has used the StayAt apartments in Bromma as our base to save on costs. Whilst we were a bit aprehensive about the basic nature of the place we have really enjoyed it. At the end of the day, as a business traveller you need a comfortable room and easy travel to work. This is what you get. Yes it's basic, and the service isn't perfect but its half the price of central Stockholm and next to Alvik station which have trains every couple of minutes. Hell, they even have a decent breakfast, and a pool table / sauna / gym. There are also some excellent bars and restaurants nearby (also half the price of the city centre). You can pay more for a hotel room but you won't get better value.

I have been staying in Stay at for more than 2 months of my business visit in Stockholm and found it one of the good place to reside. The rooms were pretty good and one negetive point would be no room servise. Infact they had some great Reception staffs.

A good basic hotel which we used whilst visiting family for a week in Stockholm. We had a one bed apartment with sofa bed in the lounge which was used by our adult son. The beds were comfortable and it was great to get two really comfortable pillows each which gave really good neck support. Shower/wetroom was good and toiletries/towels supplied were of good quality. We had a two ring grill and microwave which we were able to cook simple meals on on a couple of occasions when we did not eat with the rest of the family. It was a real bonus to be close to the T bana station with VERY frequent trains into the centre of Stockholm. The breakfasts were very good and plentiful. The dining area is being redesigned at present but that did not present any problems to us. The only negative we have is that we had to have the windows open as it was warm, and we found the traffic noise quite disturbing in the mornings, but we live in a quiet country area in the UK ! We would definitely use this hotel again though when visiting our family again.

First you need to keep in mind Stockholm is an expensive city regarding hotel and restaurant

I stayed there for one night for a business trip. I was on the 16Th floor... what mean 15th floor with lift and going to the 16Th using stairs. The view was nice on the city.

The apartment was quiet and clean. the bathroom is a bit small but still ok . The kitchen is fully equipped. That mean you can prepare your meal if you are tight on budget. The bad point is you have a percolator and a kettle in the flat but no complementary tea or coffee what could make a great difference when you arrive late at night like I did.

The breakfast include cereals breads ham and cheese boiled eggs and yoghurt. you have also the choice between juice coffee and different kind of tea.
