“Beautiful little church in a wonderful setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

It only takes a few minutes to walk round but it's a beautiful little church to visit in the middle of town.

“Simple but lovely church in busy town street.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012

I have visited Tossa many times over the years and never before found this church open. It is very small, simple and quiet inside which adds to its beauty.

“It's just a church? Wrong.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012

Now, I like churches - I am not a church goer by any means but am a person of faith and you can't help but be struck in this tiny little street about how beautifully kept and maintained it is.

Similarly, to take some time to read the walls, look around and just get a feeling for the place is very enjoyable - it is one of those places whereby even if you were the only person there, you would whisper - it has an effect. Only tiny so find it and look round!

“Charming Spanish Chapel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

Built in the 18th Century, replacing the original 16th Century chapel. The chapel was a popular place of worship with sailors, fishermen and locals. It used to be much more ornate with a baroque altar, but this was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War.

It now makes a peaceful little haven amongst the bustle of the shopping street running parallel to the promenade. Not as much to see as at the nearby Parish Church of Sant Vicenc, but the doors are very often open and it only takes a moment to enjoy its tranquility.
