We stay in this hotel in the second week of june.
We lost our flight so we arrive a day later at 11.30 a.m and our room was ready waiting for us....
The room had 2 double beds and is quite small but you are on holidays and usually you dont spend the days in your room so it Really doesnt matter the size! The housekeeper was brilliant she change our towels everyday, clean your room and bathroom every day and the bed linen once( if you are at home you not change your bed linen every day so......). There is not shower gel or shampoo and yes the toilet paper is really cheap but i stayed in the Holidays In Hotel in Luton and the shower gel and shampoo were the same thing that u took from a dispenser on the wall and we payed 130 pounds for one night, so i can not really complaint.....
There is a non smoking police inside the building (like in most countrys) but we ask in the reception and of course we could smoke in your balcony, the only thing they ask us was to close the balcony doors so the smoke and smell did not go inside the room ( fair enough who likes to sleep with cigaretts smell anyway???). The walls are really thin and yes you can hear even the people talking in the other room...
There is a charge of 10 euros for the keys of the fridge, a deposit of 30 euros for the t.v remote control and 12 euros for the wi-fi for a week.
Our room was just above the reception side by side with the poll area and the bar. At 11 p.m the staff ask the guests to go indoors to minimize the noise and the bar closes at 12 p.m sharp, so no more music or guests in the bar. The litle noise you can hear is from the guest going out to the nightclubs ( they are on holidays and they want to have fun) but there nothing the hotel can do as they are out of the permises! The entertainment is very poor but there was a day they had a couple dancing the Flamenco and Sevilhanas and it was good!!
The meals are ok, the food does not change that much from day to day but we manage to eat different food every day...
The swimming pool is small ( as you can see in the pictures) and the water is cold but the beach is just 5 minutes distance and in there the water is cold as well...
We had our expressos and drinks in the swimming pool area and it was ok for us...
The staff at the reception is very friendly and they speak very well english although as we were in Spain we took the opportunity to try and improve our spanish :) They gave us a map of the village and answer all the question we had about the hotel and Tossa. The rest of the staff not always very cheerfull but always polite.
Tossa is a beautifull village with little shops an amazing castle and old village. Is a place to relax and see the days go by.
For a nice meal of a typical Tossa dish(cim-i-tomba) go to BAHIA restaurant. The lady from the reception and the manager advise us to go there, and they were right! Was one of the best meals i had in a long time! Is a litle expensive but it was worth it!
To finalize i would not consider this hotel a 3 star hotel but for the price and in such a small village( Tossa de Mar is not a city as we thought so) i think is ok, they work hard to please their guests and to keep the place running.
If i would return? Yes definitely.
