Review of Moorish Tower

Moorish Tower
Ranked #11 of 39 things to do in Tossa de Mar
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed October 11, 2012

The Moorish Tower dominates Tossa de Mar and is worth doing the hike. There are many picturesque places along the way and the views cannot be beat. If you hike all the way to the top, there is a lighthouse and cafe. I got some great photos along the way and it's a perfect way to explore Old Town as well.

Nice place for a walk in the afternoon, not a place to walk in high heel. The place has very nice old buildings, and a good views

Every visitor should start here. There is not much to see at the tower, but plenty to see from it, as you get to see the 3 parts of Tossa and how they fit together. The Ancient Vila Vell old town built in 881, then the old fishing village and then the Pueblo or modern town with all its appartments. This is no big climb and will take about 10 minutes to walk there, 10 minutes to look at the view and 10 minutes back. Get a map or good directions. There are no facilities here whatsoever, none and you cannot enter the tower, just walk around it and up the few steps to see the view.
