“Worth a look”
Reviewed July 30, 2010

If your looking for a break from soaking up the sun at the beach or walking around the streets of Tossa the ruins of this old roman villa are worth a look in. We did most of Tossa de Mar's attractions in a couple of hours by grabbing ourselves a free tourist map from the Tourist Information center near the bus station. The highlight of the ruins was probably the mosaics although the best one is preserved in Municipal Museum. There's interesting information in several languages listed at the ruins to help you through.

“The Roman Villa-well worth a walk around the ruins.”
Reviewed May 29, 2010

Opposite the Cultural Centre is the Roman Villa “Els Ametllers” (1st c. BC - 6th c. AD) .
You can also access it from the side of the Hotel Neptuno .
Entrance is free and there are multilingual signs to explain the ruins.
A good place to take the kids on a cloudy day.
