Great beach, very clean and with plenty of space for every one. We bought a beach umbrella in the city for 12 eur (180cm) and enjoyed the beach at any time of the day. You could even leave your staff on the beach for hours and no one would touch it. We also bought a tennis game for 3 euros and it was totally cool to play it on the beach near the water.
There is only one WC for the whole beach and no dressing rooms.
Be careful cause the sea gets deeper with every centimeter.
Overall it was great!
But consider that the sea gets warm enough (24C) not earlier than 15th July.

Composed of 2 "sections" separated by some rocks, on one side there is the fortress of the Vila Vella, on the other a small rock island often frequented by scuba divers. Fishes are visible even without mask. Just saw a couple of small jelly fishes in one occasion. 2 corridors reserved to boats reduce a bit the swim area.

We was staying for a week in Tossa de Mar, and we love Beaches and this one was really nice, It is surrounded by the beautiful cafes restaurants and the lovely old town and the castle,
There are a few Boat excursions from the Beach to Lloret de Mar and other little costal towns and other Glass Bottom Boat tours,
It is pebbly and a little sharp on the feet but its a lovely beach and its fantastic to look at the boats coming in and out picking people up and dropping people off, It was always busy when we was there but we always found a great spot, the sea is also nice but there is a sudden drop, this is how the boats can come up so close to the beach, It also has two lovely beach bars with great staff at each, the whole beach has a wonderful atmosphere and we cant wait to return.

Family with teens were recently in Barcelona and wanted to take a day trip to the Costa Brava. We took the bus to Tossa de Mar and we weren't disappointed! The bus left from the Estacio del Nord station and took just over one hour. We walked through a quaint medieval town, picked up some water and snacks and then headed to the beach. The beach is pebbly and the small rocks can hurt you feet but it is worth any pain to swim in the gorgeous water! Wear your flip flops up to the edge of the water and you will be fine.We rented an umbrella and 2 chairs for 16E and spent the day relaxing in the sun. After swimming we changed in a nearby restroom, ate a great lunch at a sea side restaurant, and took the bus back to Barcelona. It was a relaxing day, not nearly as much effort as we previously thought a bus day trip would be, and a change of pace from sightseeing in Barcelona.

Lovely beach, beautiful views of the old town at the end, Lined with places to sit out and eat and drink. Grainy stones hurt to walk on but generally lovely clean safe beach. :)
