We ate here on a first night in Tossa having seen picture of fish grill taken by previous customer. My wife ordered the fish grill as a result and it was just the same as in photo and tasted as good as it looked. I had the monkfish tails which were nice but we felt coud have done with a bit more seasoning. My daughter had the meat kebab which was very nice. The overall value is fantastic especially as many Tossa restaurants charge over 20 euros for a fish grill and this was only 14.95. We would have gone back but it has been closed most nights since as it is still low season and lots of restaurants are not open during the week at night. Well worth a visit if you like good but simply cooked fresh seafood

We were wandering around Tossa de Mar, wondering which one of the dozens of restaurants/ bars we should pick...most of the seafront restaurants were fairly average looking serving typical holiday fare - french fries, ice cream sundaes and a variety of lurid looking cocktails with grubby names. The restaurants nearest the castle seemed similarly overpriced and geared towards giving tourists a quick (& expensive) fix. But heading into the street parallel to the seafront we came across a tiny resturant full of (I presume) locals and not a lurid cocktail in sight!
We decided to brave the queue outside and eventually got a table.
The Pan con Tomate was superb but the highlight of the evening was the enormous seafood grill - sardines, calamares, king prawns, langoustines and more (see picture) and all for less than £30. There was so much food that we found it difficult to get through and it was so delicious. In fact we loved it so much that when we returned to Tossa de Mar after going further down the coast, we made a beeline for Bahiton Grill. Unfortunately it was closed (we found out that it closes every Tuesday) but we needed our seafood fix so much that we decided to stay in Tossa an extra day just so that we could visit Bahiton again the following day! Highly recommended - I've given it a 4 because you need to be prepared to queue (but when the food is this good and this good value, it's an inconvenience worth putting up with)

Tiny restaurant in a very nice location, but it gets a bit noisy sometimes as it is so close to the main Street in Tossa. The food is superb and the family that runs this restaurant is very friendly. Be sure to check it the seafood.

Frankly, that was our worst experience among all the restaurants in which we were eating in Tossa..
Ok, first thing you see is the stunning row of Routard's recommendations since 2006. Ok, we book a table. We order some simple things (calamars, lobsters). The service is average (waiters forget to bring you napkins and bring the bill, so you have to remind several times). The meals are served without a side dish (garniture), so you have on your plate ONLY what you order...Calamars - average, made à la friture. 5 (!) medium lobsters without anything...Plus a green salad which frankly you can find at a beach café (with green olives inside that you buy in the shop, not REAL Spanish olives that we were desperately looking for to taste...). The cutlery was not suitable for eating lobsters, we had only a normal fork and knife...no single-used napkins with lemon (which you can get while you are eating seafood) to clean your hands...And we were lucky to be seated outside, since inside was incredibly hot!!!!!!! Finally you pay an amount higher than an average one for all this!!!
Frankly, it was much better to eat in the hotel Delfin 4* paying for buffet dinner 15 euros per person. And no regrets!!!
