“A nice place for quiet summer weekend......”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2012

We spend only a night at this hotel at the end of July 2012 and I would say it is value for money for this time of the year. Arachova is a popular skiing resort for rich Greeks and during the winter the place is full of people while in the summer everything is quiet. We stayed in a room, which was fairly large with two comfortable beds. It was clean and had an entire wall covered with wardrobes, obviously during a skiing holidays you carry a lot of clothing with you. The bathroom was large, but I did not like the shower curtain - I never liked them anyway. Their bath towels were smallish but absorbing. The view from the large balcony was fantastic, mountains on the left and right and the Delphi valley in the middle, but if you are a green lover the view is bare and rocky. The room furniture and wardrobes with dark wood colours showed their age, not to mention the tiny sized old TV set on which I was desperately trying to catch some sport from the London Olympics. We had breakfast by the swimming pool which looked big. I liked the décor and the furniture of the common areas of the hotel. The staff at the reception and at breakfast were polite and very helpful. In summertime there is plenty of parking!

Room Tip: Get a front room, the view is fabtastic

Spent two days here this week (June 2012) visiting Delphi and Arachova. Wifi available in the lobby and mezzanine only. Attractive ski lodge decor a la 1970s; indoor pool and sauna. Delicious, simple meals and attentive staff. Rooms are spare but comfortable. Hotel could update the room TVs - but overall, no complaints! Served mostly tourist groups while I was there with OAT. Nearby Arachova is a charming town to explore - do not miss their local version of marzipan, nor my preferred drink tsipouro.

We spend a weekend at this hotel and we won't spend another there! The pictures are far from the truth. As you understood we stayed at the old wing,in a room left at its destiny. There are no words to describe the dated furnitures and tv,the dark room and the curtains that were NEVER WASHED .The only positive point was the bathroom. The swimming pool is in a place that you have to walk through the entire hotel to go there. There is no direct access with the lift.I don't know about the new wing but staying here is a gamble!!!Breakfast is very average.TRY SOMETHING ELSE.

First of all, I have to say that if you are looking for "value for money" in absolute terms, then don't go to Arahova. It's a popular skiing resort and a winter playground for rich Athenians so you are competing with customers who don't care about the figure on the invoice. Go to one of the adjacent villages if you just want a perfect night's sleep after skiing, without digging deep in your pocket.

With regards to the specific hotel now, I believe it is very good value for money, for Arahova standards. I stayed in a room in the old wing, which was big, clean, warm, had a huge bathroom and huge wardrobes. Fantastic view from the balcony over to Delhpi valley. Ok, the room showed its age, but that did not create any problems to my stay.

My four year old spent two hours in the swimming pool, which he absolutely loved. I loved it too; big pool, non slippery floor around it and a fantastic glass panel looking towards the setting sun in Delphi valley. My son also loved the children's play area, which although not equiped with anything other than 2-3 toys, at least it existed. The common areas of the hotel were very nice and the lounge staff was very helpful in getting together a small birthday bash for my boy. Also, the shuttle to the centre of the village came in very handy; parking in Arahova is a nightmare on Saturday nights.

Overall, I do reccomend this hotel to travelers who want a little bit of luxury and a share of Arahova's night life, without busting the bank (I've given 3/5 for value for money but this score is in absolute terms. I would grade them 5/5 with Arahova standards). I'll certainly visit them again.

We had standard room in main old section but with great view. The lobby area was very nice, very friendly staff , the swimming pool was great, but the room was old furnitured with small double bed, big bathroom, air conditioner made an awful noise and was vibrating terribly, the carpet wasn't too clear. It is 1,5 km away from Arachova village, car needed we walked during the day and it took about 20 minutes. We payed around 60 euros per night, breakfast included, and it was quite good value for money, i wouldn't recommend this room for more money even in high season. The breakfast was typical average for a 3 star hotel not a 4 star.

Room Tip: prefer a room with a view

Anemolia resort is great for relaxing, enjoying the scenic views of the mountains and diving in the pool for a rejuvenating swim!!
We stayed at a chalet that was really charming and spacious (bathroom was huge!). The breakfast had a nice variety of tasteful options!
I would surely recommend it because it's a classic for winter vacation (although a bit pricey)
Swimming pool is a highlight !

This hotel reminded me of a mountain-top lodge. The lobby area was very nice but the rooms were dated. Our air conditioner made an awful noise and was vibrating terribly. We went to the front desk and someone came up to check on it. It got so bad, we had to sleep with the air off and the door open. The next morning the front desk did offer to change our room. When we went to order a sandwich from the bar menu, we were told that he weren't serving food, but the menus were on the tables! We looked at the menu for the dining room and decided to stay there for dinner. We were the only patrons in the restaurant and were told that there were two options for dinner. Again, the menu wasn't accurate.

The location is a little far from town if you don't have transportation. We walked during the day and it took about 20 minutes, but would not recommend it after dark.
