“A place for the Brits.”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Nothing wrong with the food but service is less than average. Used mainly by the Brits who have apartments in the Port. If you want good value and to experience the way the French enjoy their food then give this place a miss.

“50/50”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

September,First visit was excellent, helpfull staff who recommended a rose wine of the area,( saint Marie, about 10-12k from the port ) this was really good. The menus looked inviting &we both enjoyed the food ,duck in a pepper sauce for myself & a rack of lamb for the boss.the food lived up to our expectations & We promised ourselves a return visit. 8/10.
October,Second visit started promisingly enough with a repeat of the same wine , my wife ordered the lobster tagliatelle & I , the fillet gourmand. Unfortunately it went downhill from there . The lobster arrived or rather the tagliatelle arrived, 95% tagliatelle & 5% lobster, accompanied by a claw rising ceremoniously from the bed of tagliatelle . what is the point of bringing a shell cracker & meat picker to the table setting if the claw is empty. No trace of any meat at all, wasted decoration. My wife was not amused. My fillet gourmand was requested medium rare, which it was, but obviously the fillet had been transferred straight to my plate without resting, resulting in the accompanying vegetables learning how to do the back stroke in a sea of blood. Not an appetising site. Bad,bad,bad..
I would suggest that the chef was possibly absent & that the stand in is seriously not good enough to be let loose in a kitchen , unsupervised. 1/10
