“Always a delight!”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

Whether for more formal indoor dinners or lunch on the terrace under green vines, this is a delightful stop with imaginative presentation and a helpful and cheery staff. There is lots of parking. Be sure to walk through to see the updated serene lounges and beautiful pool area. There are a number of rooms and quiet pretty public spaces for inn guests. Our small group has visited several times and always deems it the favorite place for a meal. Recently there was a 3 course lunch special for 17 euros. Nearby Anduze is famous for large glazed pots, a Thursday market, and nearby Cevennes mountains offer scenery and the opportunity to follow Robert Louis Stevenson's trek with Modestine, his donkey. Not handicap accessible that I have noticed: there are stairs or steps.

“Nice location, poor service, average food”
Reviewed August 30, 2012

We chose this restaurant for lunch just as we were passing by as many places were closed on a Monday.

We ate on the terrace which is nicely decorated and with a good view.

We went for the 'bambou' 16 euro-menu for three courses. The starter was a a good carpaccio of beef with parmesan shavings. The main was a chicken kebab with mashed potato, which was bland but palatable. Dessert was a plate of thinly-sliced tropical fruit.

Service was very slow and they made a mistake with our drinks order which was entered twice on their ordering system and appeared twice on our bill!

Unless you are passing and are short of options, we would not recommend this restaurant.

“Memorable!”
Reviewed May 9, 2011

We were recently in the south of France and we spent a day in the area to visit La Bambouseraie de Prafrance, before moving on to Provence. By a coincidence we stopped at this restaurant. What I can say is that we were in great restaurants in the south of France and this was one of the most striking. We had a memorable lunch! The food is very well prepared, delicious, with excellent ingredients and a touch of sophistication. The desserts are memorable! From the food to the wine and the service, we enjoyed everything. We spent a marvelous time. Only something was missing for everything to be perfect: in front of the terrace should not exist a road. :)

Keep the good work!

“Innovative cuisine in a wonderfull outside space”
Reviewed January 28, 2011

We went there during the hot days of last summer. First I must say that the outside space was absolutely gorgeous, well decorated and fresh thanks to the palm trees (which is exactly what you need in summer time!!). Then came the menu presented on its black board with the most surprising combination of food, all absolutely tempting. If you add the girl in charge of the service who is a real character of her own... then you really find a interesting place, full of charm and hard to forget. Go a check it out !!
