First of all : the location is superb, nice historic building in beautiful surroundings. It also helps that we could have our first drinks on the loverly terrace outside.
We ate the six course menu with decent food but not innovative enough. Nearly every dish came with an espuma of some kind and the is so not done anymore in modern cuisine. Not always were the flavours of all the ingrediënts matching. It was certainly not bad expect for a piece of duck (canard) that was overcooked (chewy). Was it worth 82 Euro ? Doubtful. What made me even more negative of this place are the wines. You can tell the chef is French and they are not used over there to pare good wines to their foods. So no accompanied wines possible, in stead a bible of wines, nearly all French (off course) but all very overprised. A decent wine costs around 60 Euros a bottle. Add 11 Euros for a bottle of water (Bru) and 14,5 Euro for a small glass of house champagne and your bill adds up quickly. So on that base i know there is much better to get for the same price, you just have to look for it.
