We did not stay at this hotel but ate at the restaurant. Excellent fish and "ris de veau", typical Belgian dish made with fatty veal cheek. Very good. Excellent service except for the fact that at 9:05pm they refused to serve us the set menu because it was ... "too late".

Reasonably priced at 128 euro for two with a 29 euro bottle of Syrah.

This hotel is situated in a nice park in the centre of Spa, just near the entrance tot the Thermes the Spa. The rooms are located above a good restaurant. You need to enter your room through the restaurant. The building is old with rooms that are not so well renovated (moist walls) but this is also part of the charm of the hotel, if you're not looking for a design hotel room. Quality of the bed is very good. The breakfast is served at the table and is sufficient, although there was no fruit available.

Right below the funicular up to the Spa and near the woods with a number of lovely autumn walks. And on the edge of the town centre. The restaurant has a nice terrace overlooking a square that hosts a second hand market on sunday mornings.

But it seemed a little overpriced for what was quite a basic, dated room and an only adequate breakfast. The quality of the food in the restauant was above average, but again felt a bit overpriced.

We enjoyed our night in this hotel. We were worried that because it was cheaper than most other hotels in Spa and had only 2 stars that it might be a bit shabby, but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was nicely decorated - nothing fancy but comfortable -, the shower was amazing, and the staff friendly. Location was also ideal, and its a nice old house (recently renovated inside). The restaurant is meant to be one of the best in town, and certainly lives up to this reputation. We absolutely recommend eating here in the evening - some of the best food we've had in a long time. Breakfast was also very nice - not an all you can eat buffet, but more than enough, and nice food.

Would recommend it to anyone looking for a well priced, pleasant stay in Spa.

o Excellent location off the road in the centre of town, with a hill rising steeply behind it. Right by the funicular to the Thermes (spa), great starting point for walking too.
o Shabby chic style, done with good taste on a tight budget. All the rooms are different. Decent value.
o Think of it as a bed and breakfast over a rather good restaurant rather than a hotel. There's no reception. The restaurant staff will deal with you.
o Breakfast is modest, but OK, cappucinos/espressos available to order. You can always drop into the supermarket across the road for some fresh fruit/yoghourt/whatever to stretch it if you want.
o Recommend booking to eat in the restaurant. Superior food, very good selection of wine by the glass and good-value wines to help you keep an eye on the budget. There is always a budget three-course menu too.

Room Tip: My favourites are the Champagne and Chablis rooms on the first floor. Small but neat and sweet. Love...

Its location is definitely a bonus - right next to the spa (and far less expensive than the Radisson). It's not right in the centre of the (pretty small) town, but everything is 5 minutes' walk away.
When we arrived, the staff weren't especially friendly or welcoming. We had to hunt around to find someone to check us in. They didn't seem to care that much about explaining things, settling us in, etc. The staff we saw the next morning at breakfast were a lot nicer.
The room was a little basic but that wasn't a problem for us. At least it was clean and cosy and had a comfortable bed and a working shower.
Breakfast was fine, a fairly standard continental breakfast of coffee, rolls, croissants etc.
I don't think it was really great value for money, but then €80 seems to be the cheapest double room you can find in this town.
