“Excellent Boutique Hotel”
Reviewed June 5, 2010

The Panorama has excellent vistas of a wonderful little town. Don't plan to spend a week in Bouillon, but 2-4 nights at the Panorama can be a great trip.

The hotel has large clean rooms, with a great staff and great food for reasonable rates. Be sure to add the dinners for €20/night.

Internet is free, and free parking can be found immediately outside on the street. The hotel does have a lift to the rooms, but there is no lift for the entrance flight, so you will have to tug your bags up one flight.

The town below is wonderful, but you will want to drive to avoid a walk up to the hotel.

A relatively small family run hotel. Very friendly and obliging staff, and the wife of the chef/patron speaks good English too. We had a choice of room; if you can afford it buy up to a business class room which gives much more space and better facilities. We booked through the AA in the UK, so got three nights - including Eurotunnel - for just over £400. Included in this package was a 4 course meal for 2, which can be taken anytime during the stay. We thought the food was exquisite. It says something that the restaurant was full even on Sunday night with local families eating there too.

We have stayed on this hotel two times. Sitting on the terrasse looking on the old town of Bouillon and the castle is as the title surgests wonderfull - and is worth every cent of what is otherwise a reasonable price. The service was polite and efficient, the food excellent (we ate a la carté) - as well as the breakfast buffet. The rooms are big and clean with a nice bathroom. Trying to be critical the only flaw is that the room are rather dull (but which hotel isn't) and I don't think the hotel is quite as nice when the terresse can not be used.

The Hotel itself is very nice, so are the rooms and the view is wonderful.
The service could be friendlier but most of all, the waiters need to take a shower more often. All of them (also the female) carry a bad body odor around them which takes away your appetite. The food is good but very unadventurous. Don't expect any surprises. Breakfast is very meager, the eggs are snotty and impossible to peal.
In the town of Bouillon people are not very friendly either, maybe it’s just that part of the Ardennes (too close to France), because usually Belgium people are very charming.
The Panorama’s from the Hotel are beautiful and make up for the BO and the mediocre cooking.

My wife and I chose Bouillon as an overnight stay driving from Strasbourg to Amiens. The Hotel Panorama lives up to its name, situated high above a very picturesque village complete with fort and beautiful views of the surrounding forest. The front desk service was efficient, our room and ensuite were spacious and very clean and our view from the bedroom window was spectacular.
We enjoyed a very pleasant stroll before and after dinner down into the town (hardly a challenge if used to walking!).
Our dinner in the hotel dining room was excellent in both food and service as was the buffet breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
BTW, there is limited off-street parking available.

Hotel Panorama is a solid choice. After speaking with locals it is considered the nicest hotel in town. The room was clean, spacious and had magnificent view. The only drawback is the parking situation and the need to drive your car back into town to sight see. The distance is less than a 1/2 mile but is straght up a steep hill. We did not have dinner since it was raining and our original plan was to eat on their incredible deck overlooking the town.
Bouillon is friendly and picturesque but is worthy of only a 1 night stay.

This is a chaming family run hotel with a good view from high over the town although you have to par in the road, and there are plenty of steps to get up to the reception area. However the room was fine and the food excellent. The service was impecable. The owner's young son made an excellent wine waiter.
