“Alfa Inn - Blankenberge”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2012

Stayed at the Alfa Inn with a coach party (Robinsons) for a week in early May. Enjoyed every minute of the holiday and the hotel. Breakfast was buffet style and delicious. The evening meal was lovely and sufficient even though some of the coach party thought there wasn't enough (the huge breakfast more than made up for it though).
The hotel rooms were spacious and clean and we were made very welcome.
There were plenty of local shops and the beach was just a short walk from the hotel.

We stayed in one of the apartments for one night. It was spacious, modern, clean and had everything we required, including dishwasher plenty crockery etc. Always great to find somewhere easy to stay with three children.
Breakfast included was a bonus and was great, lots of choice and even a piano player.
Location great and car parking, for a stay at the Belgian coast can't fault it.

Great value for money. Very nice (small) rooms and bathrooms, located in the city center. Very friendly staff.
Breakfast is fantastic, even with piano music !!! Child friendly with playground and trampoline.
Very good place to stay in Blankenberge !

As a place to stay over on business travel this hotel offers what one could need: a comfortable and clean bed. It is a renovated hotel but still good enough to return to. It is very well located for visits to the beach (200m) and if you want to go out in the evening.

I received an upgrade to a 2 persons bedroom. Nevertheless the room and the bed are rather small (especially for a 2 persons room). Also the bathroom is limited in space.

A pleasant surprise was the excellent breakfast with a lot of fresh fruit and plenty of choice. This was included in the room rate which gives it a high price/quality ratio.

It is not the most modern hotel so keep this in mind when judging small nuisances like neighbouring noise. Be aware this is a city hotel with all parking difficulties (the hotel has private parking spaces at € 15,- per night).

Being invited to watch a show at "Wit Paard" we decided to stay overnight. Looking for a hotel our criteria was price and breaktfast included. We could not ave been more suprised. Yes the room was not the biggest one but not the smallest neither. Clean and a great bed. For us this was perfect as we just wanted a place to sleep. It was a very quit room and no outside noise. Breakfast is worth a 5 star hotel. Everything you find at any 5 star hotel was here and plenty of it.
Very friendly and helpfull staff.
Next time we go to the sea we will be staying back here. An absolut top place.

Centrally situated amongst shops and restaurants, near to the railway station, tram stop and beach. The rooms are quite small but lack nothing you need for a pleasant stay. The hotel does not have a restaurant for evening meals but the buffet breakfast is one of the best I have had, hot buffet, with eggs cooked to order, and a cold selection of breads, fruit, cereals and cake that must satisfy any diet or palate. The staff are pleasant and obliging and the parrot wolf-whistled this old lady, I think we will be back.

I stayed at this hotel in Blankenberg at the weekend, it was very dark and dingy, the corridors were so dark that it was difficult to see where the key holes were. A brave attempt had been made to brighten up the bedrooms but they were still very dark and the lighting was so poor due to low energy bulbs and a lack of light fittings. The breakfast was quite good with plenty of choice.
