Quite secluded. The place is simply gorgeous. The very best maintained facilities I've seen in Honduras by far.
Getting there might get you a bit nervous as the road is not paved but quite driveable no need for AWD at all.
Scenery is natural lovely. Their restaurant could easily beat the ... out of the majority I've been here. Great cuisine reasonable prices and the staff is quite attentive.
If you want to escape noise and crowd you should really think about this place!

Rustic spacious mountain cabins surrounded by miles of well groomed hiking trails. While onsite, we hiked to two different waterfalls and several suspension bridges. Mid-week was very peaceful with limited amount of visitors. The staff was very attentive.

If you are a birdwatcher or just love nature, you will love a stay at PANACAM Lodge. The name is not very interesting but it actually stands for Parque Nacional Cero Azual Meambar which is the cloud forest where the lodge is located. The lodge, restaurant and trails are a non-profit project by Aldea Global (Gobal Village). We saw toucans, parrots, parakeets, humming birds, and other beautiful birds without having to search for them. The rooms are basic but spacious, clean and comfortable with hot shower, TV and a porch with a beautiful view. There are trails to waterfalls and look-out towers. The restaurant has a good menu and tasty food but the service is very slow so be sure to order before you get hungry. You can probably do all of the trails in a day so a two-night stay is enough for most people.
