Very nice little museum where you can get a lot of info about local traditions. There are 2 floors. On first you can see a lot of info about silk production, even the live silkworms and on the 2nd beautiful national costumes from Konavle. Worth a visit!

We visited Cilipi on Sunday morning taking the local 9am bus from Cavtat. Our main reason for the trip was to see the folklore dancing show but when we paid for our ticket(50kn) it also included this museum and a welcome drink. The museum was very interesting with live silkworms and some info about how they make the silk and how the use it in their clothing, a nice surprise. The village itself was small and sweet with some crafts on display and some local musicians. The dance show itself was around 45 mins and was very entertaining.

Worth it for a nice morning out.

Spent the afternoon in Cilipi as this is the town my family is originally from. Small town with a nice little square and church, the museum is located across from the church. Two levels with plenty of information on local traditions, clothes, etc. Anyone interested in textiles would find the second floor very interesting. The woman working at the museum was very helpful and walked us through some of the museum. After I mentioned that my family was from the town she took me next door to meet some local residents who knew my family name and where their home was. It is a beautiful village and interesting museum well worth the short ride from Dubrovnik.

We especially enjoyed reading about raising the silkworms. This is a small museum that we saw when we visited Čilipi to see the folk dancers and musicians. It's worth a visit if you are in town already.
